Kit Summers had good reason to believe that his salsa would be a successful and marketable product, weeks later after my daughter and I each bought some to take home we’re still talking about it! I for one adore a great salsa, not only on my Mexican dishes but on chicken or fish to brighten up the plate and taste buds. I must admit that my favorite way is just plunging into it with a tortilla chip, yum. Many dishes would not be complete without the perfect salsa such as a quesadilla. Kit’s salsas are so fresh with bright red tomatoes, crunchy onion, cilantro, black beans and corn is scattered throughout and you just choose the right amount of heat for your taste buds. Kit sells his salsas sweet and mild to a very spicy hot which I was brave enough to try and after my eyes were done watering and my sinuses were clear I said, I’ll take two of the tasty mild-medium salsas. For me they were a great choice, fresh tasting and just the right amount of heat. I discovered Kit’s Summer salsa at the Piazza @ Schmidt’s Farmer’s Market, but if you go to his web page you will find they sell it in quite a few places like certain Whole Foods, Natural Foods, some grocery stores, farm stands, deli’s and cafes. Seriously the best salsa I have found since living in the Southwest.
