I have never had a sandwich or soup here that I didn’t enjoy. Some, I crave, such as their Rachel sandwich(a Rueban with coleslaw in place of the sauerkraut) and Italian Gold soup. The chef here is very talented, she has come up with some amazing soups, which are always made from scratch. They cook their own corned beef, so the Rueban is excellent(along with the Rachael). Homemade scones, cookies, brownies and bread, along with a nice cheese case make this place worth checking out too. Staff is very friendly, lots of parking, and prices are pretty reasonable. If you need a Chicago dog fix, this place also serves those, the REAL ones, with Vienna Beef hot dogs, poppyseed buns and all the fixings. Located in the East Bay Tom’s shopping plaza, tucked back next to the Hallmark shop and just past JoAnn Fabrics, it is a lovely little gem.

bagels ok, chewy and dense as they should be. had no fresh bread at 10am-ish, bought a day old(minimal discount) sunflower rye bread. eaten fresh it tasted like white with cracked sunflower seeds; did make good toast. no chemicals, just white flour with a tad barley and rye. my personal opinion-it needed more salt. over all i would say this is more deli than bakery. shelves were fairly bare and just a few pastries and bagels. lady stated fresh bread had not come in yet-from who knows where. there are much better bakeries in town.

A really nice, small bakery in the same complex as Tom’s East Bay. I’m a sucker for Pastrami and they make a mean Pastrami Reuben here that is to die for. The bread is all baked fresh for the sandwiches, and it tastes great. You can also buy the bread by the loaf if you want to take it home, and their prices are very reasonable. The sandwich menu is pretty large, I’d think most people could find something they would like here. My mother and my girlfriend both love the tuna salad here. They also offer a wide array of baked goods — I’m partial to the baklava(only $ 2.50 for a very large portion!). They also have a good selection of unique beverages and chips which is nice if you’d like something other than Coke and Lays with your meal(although that’s still an option). Overall, I really like this place. Good service and great food. My only gripe is that the atmosphere is a little bland. I think if they could create a more unique deli atmosphere this place would get five stars.
