I ate lunch here with my family while we were on vacation. The price was relatively cheap considering the high amount of tourism in the area. They have a nice selection on pizzas, subs and salads. All of us were content with our meals. The service was nice and timely while the restaurant seemed decently busy(but not slammed.) The decorations in the dining area were very unique and interesting as well, aiming for a «around the world» feel.

Great atmosphere to go along with really good pizza. The service was equally good. They have pizza by the slice during lunch hour. They are located right downtown.

We decided to go to pangea’s because it was a part or the state theater’s dinner and a movie promo. I was disappointed with my experience and wish I wouldn’t have wasted a dinner here while on our weekend stay. Let’s start with the best parts of the meal. We ordered breadsticks to start and they give you a nice assortment of dipping sauces which was fun. I tried the garlic butter, cherry, and marinara and enjoyed them all! Also I like their list of toppings for pizza, it is quite extensive and let’s you get creative! I ended up trying sausage, artichoke and garlic and enjoyed the topping combo. Now for the negatives. The space is very narrow and cramped. Hardly any waiting area and we ended up sitting at a high bistro table near the front of the restaurant which was pretty high traffic. At least there was a window to the alley next to us. Also their plates were very cheap plastic which looked worn down like the coating had worn off and potentially dirty? It reminded me of the plastic melamine plates that are summer themed and you can get only a few years use out of. Although I liked the toppings of the pizza I found the crust gooey and lackluster, maybe they put too much cheese on it? But trust me, I love cheese. I would not return with so many other better dining options in TC.

Pizza was uninspiring and undercooked. Poor quality cheese was rubbery. Service was average and borderline unprofessional. Good selection of local brews. Would recommend trying somewhere else.

Signature pizzas are great. Best pizza in TC? Certainly top three. Dine in service is usually just ok but at least they’ve nice. If you’re coming with kids might want to order ahead since the pizzas can take a while. Lots of beer choices.

Pangea’s was a solid choice. I ordered(for delivery) their«Pangea’s Special», but asked for no pepperoni. Without me making the request, the gentleman on the phone asked me if I wanted to add something else, which was a nice touch. Some places even charge for a substitution, which is silly. I also ordered some wings with the dry rub, those weren’t fantastic, but they were good. It was more of a personal taste thing than a quality thing. Overall, good food, fast and polite service. Good experience and I will order from them again the next time I am in TC.

The food here is excellent and I have come here a few times HOWEVER there is one older server with black hair with purple streaks, piercings, and tattoos who is extremely rude and unfriendly. She said to my friend that they couldn’t do a Caesar salad wrap because her boss would bitch at her and continues to give us attitude when we asked for something else. She also threw our straws at us. The food is great but this one server made my experience poor

My wife and I ordered delivery from Pangea after a Private wine, beer, and whiskey tour that left both of us(ok, maybe just me) unable to reliably walk from one place to another. We phoned in our order, two pies, one loaded with multiple wild and domesticated mushrooms and one loaded with every kind of meat that Pangea could find(but no Meerkat, so don’t worry). They were both excellent. The meats were fresh, and the various fungi on my wife’s pie were delicious. The only downside was the price, which is the only reason that I can’t give 5 stars. It’s super good, but you pay for all that super-goodness.

This was an interesting experience since you are given popcorn when they bring your drinks. The popcorn itself was extremely salty. Then I saw an employee, Meghan or Maggie something like that, come back to the popcorn machine, take a scoop and place it into her hand. This isn’t real appetizing to me as a customer. On to the pizza, the pizza was really good. I’m not gonna say the best I’ve ever had since I’ve been to some pretty good pizza places. With my stepdaughters’ suggestion, we tried the BLT pizza. It was way better than I thought it would be. We also got the Pangea’s special. It was super greasy, but I think that was because of all the meat.

I have gone here a few times. I get the personal pizza which is really good but takes for ever to make. Also the service is pretty hit or miss. One time my friend and I were done eating and waited fifteen minutes for the check. While our waitress was outside washing bar glasses. Other times it’s been fine. The atmosphere is rather odd though.

Ate here on a Friday night. We asked the server to surprise us with her favorite pizza and she came out with the Texan pizza. It was SOGOOD. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life! Our server was fantastic — very attentive and a great upbeat attitude. The entire waitstaff was lovely. We joked around at the front with a few of them while waiting for our cab. Zero complaints about this restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

We visited this establishment during a recent family vacation. In a nutshell, the food and service were terrific! They have allergen free options which is extremely helpful as that is a concern for one of our children. All of us got individualized pizza’s and they were made fresh, correct, and ready to eat. The service was just the way we like it to be; not too intrusive nor too hard to find. Should our travels bring us to Traverse City again, we will do our best to stop by again. They make an outstanding product, and I would highly recommend them. Thanks! Adam

We had lunch here on recommendation from a local, the food was okay but the fruit flies in the restaurant bothered me more than anything… we requested to move outside by their tiki bar and were easily accomodated. The servers were really friendly and had a big smile for everyone.

Terrible. never going back. the service was slow, waitress was rude. the food was nothing special. the mozzarella squares were no better then the frozen ones you can get at the grocery store. and the pizza my husband and I had(the Caribbean Jerk) had slightly good taste but was very average. AND from this lovely pizza my Husband got FOODPOISONING! on our honeymoon! He ended up vomiting for a few hours from that garbage excuse of a restaurant. so if you don’t want food poisoning and bad service on your vacation NEVER visit this restaurant!

Very very bad service. We had a waitress who was angry and did not want to work. She did not even smile! The pizza lacked all kind of ingredient. Will not be back

Delicious boutique style pizza. BUT. Consider yourself forewarned: you will pay for anything extra. For example, we switched out green peppers for jalapeños on our pizza, and there was a $ 1.49 up charge. The last I checked at the grocery store, a jalapeño costs about eight cents. Also, we got garlic($ 1.49) sesame($ 1.49) crust. So, when the bill arrived, our(already kind of spendy) $ 1512-inch pizza turned into a $ 2012-inch pizza. 6 smallish slices. If you dine here with a family, your bill will not be reasonable. There is a decent bar selection, and a cute patio out back offers an oasis from nutty downtown Traverse City in the summer. I like this place overall, but it’s kind of unaffordable for pizza. I mean, I get it. But that doesn’t mean I like it. I guess at least you’re paying for decent local food.

We didn’t have the greatest service, and the heaters on the patio were on insanely high. We ended up asking them to turn one off bc it was unbearable. But it’s kid friendly which is a plus. The breadsticks were not good, very hard and they tasted like dough. But the pizzas were good. I had the garlic lovers, which was really good, but had a little too much garlic on it for me…

Our first visit here with the wife and 2yr old. Looks much nicer inside than out. Pleasantly surprised. Was greeted and seated promptly, even after requesting a specific seat. Gave us an ideal location to park the stroller too. Waitress appeared in a timely manner and took drink orders, a few locally made soda pops. A very good choice for the pop drinker. Ordered kids cheese pizza pocket for $ 3.95, Crete Gyro for $ 8.49, and an 8″ personal pizza with 4 toppings that was $ 6.35. Overall very impressed with the prices. Gyro was maybe a buck or two more than I was used to, but realized I was in a tourist town and it was a very yummy gyro. Overall, I wish I would have gone here sooner, the pizza was FANTASTIC. One if the top 5 pizzas we’ve ever had. The veggies are fresh cut, mozzarella cheese was clearly fresh made and recently grated. Noticed they cook pizzas in an old works brick oven. Excellent Roma tomato based sauce. Highly recommended. Our service was impeccable, food was very good to exceptional.
