Well executed brunch fare, 2 for 2 on consistency on visits a year apart. Surprisingly accommodating for children. Always a Sunday stop when we’re in TC.

Probably the best steak frites I have ever had. Perfectly grilled to medium rare and plated with delicious truffle butter. Accompanied by a very generous serving of fries with a tasty dipping sauce. My husband really liked his pork shank served with beans. We both had salads. Great presentation, very fresh ingredients. The service was excellent. Prices are appropriate.

A tiny French restaurant that packs a mighty flavor punch! This place is fantastic. I tried the waffles and loved the light, delicate batter. It was like biting down on clouds. The strawberries added just enough sweetness and were prepared so they weren’t so tart. All of this was accompanied by real whipped cream. Everything was light and fluffy. My girlfriend raved about her tarte flambee. We also shared an order of beignets. They were outstanding. Our server was a really friendly guy. I was thoroughly impressed by this tiny restaurant. As you drive up, be aware Patisserie Amie does have a small parking lot around the back. Some cars took their chances on the street and got ticketed while we ate.

First off, the food was amazing. The service was awesome. Everything was great except one thing and I really have a hard time being negative because our server was so nice, helpful, and Knowledgeable. However, our order wasn’t perfect and we had to ask for water several times and our potatoes came after having to remind our server we ordered them. Our server was also the bartender and he was swamped making drinks so I don’t really want to fault him for that. Also, this is more a general complaint to certain restaurants where the servers don’t write the order down while taking it. Sometimes this can lead to a mistake in the order which could explain this time for us.

Wow! A true French cuisine with unbelievable bakery items(Pain Au Chocolat). Breakfast omelette’s are exquisite. Looking forward to trying lunch and dinner. You will not regret coming to this fine establishment.

Breakfast is usually a complete waste of a meal but not here. The breakfasts here blew my mind. I had a savory French toast with pork belly and my wife had a crêpe that she was absolutely in love with. This is the perfect place to coat your stomach before a hard day of wine tasting.

100THREVIEW = INSTANTLOVE The second I walked in, I knew I was going to have a good time. On a Sunday morning, this place was bustling with regulars, locals and out-of-towners. If guests weren’t waiting for service, they were licking their plates clean.(I saw you…) This will be my 100th Unilocal post and Patisserie Amie and Chez Peres deserves six stars for it’s unique brunch experience!!! THESPECIAL My husband and I were seated outside on a carpeted patio. Fancy, fancy. Our waitress listed the specials and immediately shared some incite on how each of these daily inspired dishes would be prepared. She won me over with the homemade brioche with duck pâté and sauteed quail breast. On top were two pouched eggs with a truffle infused hollandaise sauce. It was DIVINE. I took a close up picture… hope you don’t mind. It was rich, savory and enriched with so much flavor. The dish may not be photogenic as I would like… but my god, I still have dreams about eating here. A FAVORITE This place was great. I can not wait until the next time I come to Traverse City. It’s quickly become one of my favorite breakfast cafes in the state of Michigan. You have to visit!

I came here after seeing good reviews on Unilocal.I can honestly say that the reviews were right on. I was very satisfied with the food and the service. We came here around 10:30 on Sunday and had to wait 45 min to be seated. I ordered the Hitch which is an espresso with cream and some brown sugar. It was very tasty. I think it was a little too large for espresso but it worked. I then had the eggs and pizza. It was not called this but it was really pretty much this. The cheese complimented the onions and eggs. It was pretty good and can fill you up quickly. My wife and I also split the«large pancake». This was actually a very large crêpe that was filled with homemade cream, bananas and Nutella. We didn’t finish it but took it home to the kids who were delighted to finish it. The atmosphere was very small but always full. That’s a great way to know if the restaurant is good or not. We sat at the bar and were served promptly. In the end, we left very satisfied and will go back when we are in the area. I will also recommend that others go here as well.

This place is a MUST for breakfast/brunch in Traverse City! Their specials are always amazing and their Eggs Benedict is so good we had to order a half an order as a side We also had their quiche special and a cheesy beignet stuffed with eggs and topped with a mushroom ragout and topped with shaved cheese, it was amazing! Definitely a foodie’s paradise!

A lovely, small French bistro in downtown Traverse City. And everyone knows it. We wanted to eat here and so we decided to wait for a table for four. They do have an outdoor patio area to wait, which was nice. It took a bit longer than we were quoted, forty minutes as opposed to a half an hour. We noticed they seated several couples that arrived after we did as they have more tables for two. If you are considering going on a weekend morning, know that they are consistently busy and you may want to make a reservation. Once seated we waited quite awhile for a server to come just for the drink order. This may have partially been due to our seating in the entry area where we had two bistro tables together. The tables were not an issue, though waiting as long as we did was. This continued to be an issue. We waited to place our order, we waited for the bill and we waited for out cards/change. I do not think this was bad service so much as our server being overwhelmed as she was friendly when with us. She did quickly check in with us regarding our meals as well. The food was five stars. I ordered one of the specials, the crab cake eggs Benedict. We all tried each other’s meals and each were excellent. The crab cake was plump with lots of crab bits, green onions and lightly fried. It was topped with a perfectly poached egg and light, creamy hollandaise sauce. The English muffin was also soft and lightly toasted. The french omelette was simple and classic. The Crab Mornay crêpe was stuffed with a large portion of crab, artichoke hearts and another perfectly poached egg. The Oeufs Africaine was the less traditional plate on our table. It was a large portion of eggs covered in couscous and a spiced tomato sauce with triangles of pita bread. The sauce had a good flavor and each item went well with the others. The portion size is fairly large and we were too full to try any of the desserts, though they looked amazing in the glass case.

The hostess was very slow at seating us. She told us it was a 45 minute wait. we went for a walk and came back 30 minutes later but she had already skipped over us. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes before we were finally seated. Food was great, I got a croissant and the peasant omelette. The waiters were courteous and organized.

We loved this place. I had the waffle and my wife had french pancake(A Crêpe that they called a French pancake, I dont know enough about French to understand this). They were amazing. The crêpe was shockingly good. I think it caused my brain to shut down for a few mins because it didnt know how to understand all the goodness. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was great. Nice music too. I recommend anyone wanting awesome brunch to go here.

This is probably one of the places you should go if you want to have a really heavy BRUNCH/BREAKFAST. The service was really good and the décor in the place was awesome. We started off with the Critters and the Beignets, both tasted more or less the same(lay-man terms). But I liked the Critters more since they were definitely more crunchy. They had a special on the crab cakes and we grabbed that and Friture de Pain — which was the French Toast, both were really really good. The crab cakes had horseradish in them, which was super pungent — I liked it. This was really heavy.

I died and went to French breakfast food heaven. It was so amazing I went back the next day. My favorite menu item was the frittered and deep fried croissants– my friend and I agreed that those were superior than our also quite tasty beignets. We sampled an omelette, a waffle, crepes, and a benedict type dish over two days in addition to the two pastries above. They also have great coffee beverages(espressos, flat whites, breves, etc) When I come back to TC, I will definitely be here again!

I have not a single bad thing to say about this place. In fact, it left us so impressed on our first visit, we came here every morning we were in TC for brunch. I don’t possibly have the time or space to review every dish we had, but the on-menu highlights were the eggs Benedict with house brined Canadian bacon and homemade hollandaise, the Beignets, and the strawberry pancake. The pancake is huge, but my husband licked his age clean both times he ordered it. Probably my favorite dish of our entire trip was one of their off-menu specials, pork belly on top of savory brioche French toast, topped with a poached egg and mustard hollandaise. Insane flavor and my mouth waters just remembering it. The work they put into their homemade breads, sauces and overall good quality really pays off. The space itself is adorable. The very definition of French shabby chic. The tabletops give a feeling of elegance with white linens and fresh flowers. Still not stuffy though. Loved it. Service was impeccable. Part of the reason we came back again and again was the«at home» feeling we got from the staff. Our second visit we sat at the bar, and props to Dan for giving us a great time. Jokes and laughs were easy and we got some great recommendations from all the staff on places to visit, since we’re out of towners. All in all, this is our top recommendation to people heading to TC. I can’t wait to go back!
