a very good local sea food restaurant that you have to go. I got the whitefish and shrimp and it was delectable. it is worth a try ;)

This place is great. Both the white fish and the perch are delicious. Fast service and great food with a good atmosphere

BLUF: Good fried whitefish. Standard fries. Below average coleslaw and hushpuppies. Northerners can’t make coleslaw or hushpuppies. Neither were finishable. The whitefish was really good though and so were the fries. Those are the items that count anyways. I would def go back if I were in the mood. Order at the front and they’ll bring it out. Place has a lot of boat things all over the wall. It would be a good place to bring little kids. Good place for a quick meal. Nothing to get overly excited about though

The best lightly breaded perch and whitefish around! The manager was so informational and kind! Loved the décor too! We will be back!

Everything I expected and more. The Walleye and Perch was perfect, whitefish was perfect too. Au gratin potatoes are great too. So glad we stopped.

Best fish sandwich I have ever had, and the atmosphere is really cool with all the fishing gear and and Sea décor. A must have for lunch while in town on vacation with the family. We will be back next time

The fish sandwich was ok, just overdressed with mayo. They use white bread buns, that fell apart because the sandwich was so soggy. I tried my kids fish baskets, and they were very tasty. The food took much longer than I would have expected, since they were pretty empty. The décor is fun.

Mmmmmmmm. I had the fried cod with french fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Everything was really good. I liked their version of tartar sauce and I absolutely cannot get enough of malt vinegar and good fries. I will come back here when I have a big appetite because the give you a lot of food and there is no way I am leaving any of it behind.

Yummy whitefish basket with hush puppies, fries, and slaw. I shared a 3 piece basket with my fiancée and it was plenty. Reasonably priced, good quality fish.

Ehhh. Maybe, it’s because I am really picky about my Chowder– but it was too thin for me to consider it chowder and there was no White Fish in it? This is a great place to escape the heat and get some fried fish– but I would pass since there are other things to do in the area unless you are tired/have like 6 children that need AC/space/bathrooms and fried food.

Had the whitefish sandwich! It was so delicious! I have never been here but I always get a whitefish sandwich when I come home to Michigan for a visit.

Tourist food at Tourist prices. The white fish sandwich was good but overpriced. Fries were limp and of the frozen variety.

The 4 star is based on your expectations. Very casual and a ½ step above fast food. However, if you want top notch fish and chips in a no-nonsense setting, vey good. My wife had walleye and perch. I had whitefish. Very good. Which they had beer, but small price to pay. If you want white linen, go elsewhere, but fish and chips likely won’t be as good.

Pros: dining room décor is Michigan fishing trip hall of fame themes. The grilled or fried whitefish with homemade tartar sauce were both hits. Cons: the thing is you walk in and place your order, it’s sorta awkward. The woman taking our order was early in a bad mood, but whatevs. Perhaps she was wearing too many hats, as she also served the food and bused tables. For a place that is not tiny, it needs more than two people working. Verdict: has potential to be really good

The food was very greasy and all tasted the same on the extremely small menu. The waitress couldn’t recommend anything because she didn’t like fish. I would not recommend this to a friend hence the 2 stars.

I really enjoy a good fish fry. They have good fish and its some of the best I have had out at a restaurant. I had the Perch and Walleye combo basket. It was a full half pound of fish. Not bad at all for the price. The décor for as cool for a fish place. Lots of neat Michigan fishing and boating stuff. Was a little hard to find, and could have used better signage. I will be back :-)

My mom had to have whitefish chowder. She kept going on and on about it. So, I pulled out my new iPhone and searched Unilocal.I found it here, and it’s really close to our friend’s house. We came for lunch, and we all ordered the Whitefish chowder in a bread bowl for $ 6.99. It is really good, albeit no large chunks of fish. I’d order it again, but sans the bread bowl. Oyster crackers are good enough for me.

I not sure what to think of is place. It’s small, sort of tuck away near the major parking structure on the Eastern edge of the traverse city downtown area. It’s not a place for dinner, it’s more of a lunch place. They have tables, maybe 12−15″ and a couple of booths, and an outdoor section, during the summer. You step up to the counter and order, and they bring it to your table. It’s has a limited menu, fish and chips, and a couple of other options. We went with the two piece white fish meal. Which includes two fish pieces, fries, two hushpuppies, coleslaw and tatar sauce. The fish was fresh, not in a heavy beer batter, but a lighter panco style batter. The fries are crisp and seasoned. The hush puppies were ok, and the coleslaw was creamy. I like they had malt vinegar on some of the table and a selection of hot sauces. So this is not an old time seafood place a la Captain whoeve’s or Red Lobster. It is a no frills place, but the food was good.
