Very cute little shop! We are in town for a few days, and while sitting in traffic, my husband and I spotted this just off the road. Hey, why not kill some time while we’re waiting for traffic to clear up? So we pulled in, and he waited in the car with our pet dog while I popped in with my service dog. The owner saw him, and while I was bracing for the usual small town«no dogs!» followed by a long conversation about service dog law and all that, he instead went«oh, nevermind, service dog». What a relief! He was a really nice gentleman, and had a great assortment of gifts and souvenirs available. Shirts, pins, keychains, shot glasses, whatever you collect from your trip, you’ll find it here! All of that stuff is well and good, but wait, there’s more. The fudge. Oh, my, the fudge. When I said that I would just take one piece of the Traverse City Cherry for today, he chuckled and said«oh, you’ll be back». He is not wrong! I’m generally not a fudge fan. It’s usually either disgustingly sweet, or chalky and dry. This is, undoubtedly, the perfect fudge. Not too sweet, not dry or chewy, it’s perfect. And I will be back for more before we leave tomorrow!

I recently took a trip to the Traverse City area for a family reunion. I looked everywhere for T-Shirts and souveniers. The Swan’s Nest had the best prices and so many to choose from. I would recommend this gift shop to everyone. The fudge looked fantastic but I was able to resist. The owner was very helpful and I enjoyed my shopping trip and came home with a lot of neat things.
