So much to say, inn keeper Brian was awesome and fun, great cook too. Location is secluded and quiet but still close enough to town that it’s not inconvenient. River is beautiful, sauna and hot tub are perfectly located and provide much relaxation at the end of the day. Good trails in the area too. Hubby was a bit sad he didn’t bring fishing pole or kayaks… both would’ve been nice to have. Do yourself a favor and stay here… it’s worth it!

What a great place to come back to after a day of shopping and sightseeing. The setting is perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Loved the Spring House.

A marvelous place to stay, just far enough from TC to isolate you from the noise of the city while still being close enough to drive in for dinner. The accommodations are beautiful and relaxing, and the Boardman River runs right through the property. Brian’s breakfast are something to really look forward to, with fresh fruit accompanying great omlettes, pancakes, French toast, sausage, and more, with a different selection every day. We’re looking forward to returning.

Such an appropriate title for this B&B. It sets the stage for the type of stay your going to have. The main house was booked and we had to stay at their cabin. When the owner mentioned it, I was very disappointed, but once we were there, I was so happy with the opportunity. With any B&B, you’re staying in the main house, having idle chit chat with other guests, and sometimes hear people in other rooms. The cabin, you have none of this, just perfect tranquility, silence, and isolation. The owners stocked up the fridge for us and we can have breakfast in our own cabin. It was more of a continental breakfast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, etc…, but it was so pleasant. The cabin is located about 500 feet from the main house and several miles from the main road, and about 8 miles from downtown Traverse City. You really get in the woods feeling without being to far from the city and you have a river flowing through your backyard. It is a really nice place and I would gladly stay there again.

If you are going to visit Traverse City, this is a nice place to stay. The B&B consists of three buildings, each housing from one to four bedrooms. Each building is nicely and comfortably decorated in a log-cabin style. The bigger building has wi-fi and a nicely equipped kitchen. There is also a huge fireplace and a library. The location is about 8 miles south of Traverse City itself, which provides nice seclusion and relaxation. There is a nice creek that flows right by the complex and the sound it makes is very relaxing. There is also a little dock that lets you dangle your feet in the water. Canoers will be going by so you can say hello. The owners keep a stable with two horses, who add to the nice scenery. We worked with Julie to do the bookings and Brian was taking care of us during our stay(including cooking and serving breakfast). Both were extremely nice, pleasant, easy-going and friendly. Brian was also kind enough to recommend activities and sites around the area. I would highly recommend staying here as an alternative to cookie cutter motels/hotels.
