Jefferson Motel Apts

starting off with the good about this location: right on the beach, has a kitchenette and full size fridge, wifi, and is a relatively big room at a decent price. lots of shops and restaurants around the area as well. the area is quiet so it’s peaceful at night.
cons: smells terrible. we stayed here for 3 days and every time we leave and come back it just has such a rancid smell that we think emulates from the bathroom. this place feels a little run down, and the wifi is here and there with the connection. there’s a tv but it’s very static-​y. it’s not 100% terrible and it would be 3 stars but the smell really kind of ruined the experience. but it might have just been our room though.

This place is definitely a get what you pay for. I’ll start with the good of this place.
Pros: Right on the beach, cheap price, kitchen, wifi, comfortable bed, restaurants, shops and a quiet area.
Cons: I’m not sure if this was just our room (22) or every room but most of the time there was a horrible odor coming from what we believe to be the bathroom. There was a few times we’d smell it and it would be fine but at least 95% time it smelt like something died in there. Tv has a lot of static, pool is definitely not heated, room looks rundown and needs to be renovated, the outside of the motel looks like a mini golf course, wifi isn’t strong, no tv in the bedroom, there’s an ironing board but no iron.
Overall I would possibly stay here again, the main problem was the horrid smell but if that is solved I’d have no problem staying here again.

First stay here at the jefferson. The website and reviews are a bit deceiving. I was expecting a remodeled 4 star motel. Definitely wasn’t the case. Smelled of cigarette smoke, cracked pictures, dirty coffee maker, run down kitchenette, old odds and ends. You’d think a room that cost around 150 they’d put more back into their establishment. Sign said heated pool, it was not. We actually thought about not staying and just lose out on the money. Best part about this place was the fact it’s right on the sand and it looks like every room has an ocean view. I’ll be sticking to what I know from now on. Bilmar a couple blocks north has never let me down.
Oh. Forgot to add. Someone forgot to flush the toilet as well. They must have forgotten to clean the toilet?

Just got back from vacation @ The Jefferson. We really loved the convenience of this place. With 2 kids, this is a huge advantage! Close to everything, super easy beach access, to an uncrowded beach. The rooms are kinda dated and have minor things wrong with them, but not the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Room was fairly clean, wifi wasn’t great, but did work 75% of our stay. I would definitely say to double check your reservation. We didn’t have a problem when we got there, but didn’t have the most confidence in the owners, since we never got an email confirmation after asking twice for it. My biggest complaint is the cleaning lady. She unlocked the door and walked right in on us to clean our room. That kinda pissed us off, but since she didn’t speak much English, wasn’t easy to communicate with her, but she knew we weren’t happy. She was ok for the rest of our stay. Pool was very clean, and open late, which was nice. Late night swim on vacation is always cool. The rooms are very affordable, and worth what u pay. Hope this helps someone in their decision. We would definitely stay there again.

This was my 1^st stay at Jefferson Motel and I honestly can’t say I had too many complaints. I was pleasantly surprised with the how inexpensive it was to stay there considering it was a Friday night and spring break time!
The room could use some updating, but overall it was fine. What did bother me the most is the fact that wifi was suppose to be free. I was on the 2^nd floor and could hardly connect!
Overall for the price I paid to stay on a Friday night on the beach I would return in a heartbeat!
