I have a bittersweet relationship with shopping at Anthropologie stores. Bitter: High price tags $$, you don’t carry the footwear and your sale selection SUCKS!!! Sweet: Love the vintage inspired clothing, handbags, housewares and deliciously scented goodies. However, I am totally head over heels in l.o.v.e. with your sales on . I secretly drool over my favorite *full priced* treasures until they magically appear in the sale section. Same day, every week I scan the new listings to see if that insanely soft, Bica Cheia handbag or fabulous Chie Mihara’s is there waiting for me. I snatch my finds quickly as they are guaranteed to disappear by noon Pacific time. Note to self: Just because that delicious find is in your shopping cart, doesn’t mean it’s yours!!! Checkout fast or it will disappear before your very eyes.

Although I love shopping in the store Anthropologie, the customer service at is not up to snuff. My order arrived 3 – 4 weeks after I placed it. Some of the items were already offered at a sale price in the store by the time I got them from the«warehouse». They shipped it in two different batches and failed to tell me that one of my items was sold out and no longer available, simply listing it as «Back ordered until date: ______» Most of the items didn’t fit right and had to be returned to the store. I had to call 3 different times to try and have them waive the $ 17.95 I paid for shipping and got three different stories. The first time they didn’t credit me anything but said that my case would have to be «reviewed». The second time they credited me $ 3.39 and the third time they finally credited me the full $ 17.95 for shipping but they were reluctant to do so. For a company with such good customer service in the store I was surprised to fund it sub par when ordering from their website.
