The bagels are great and cream cheese is awesome. However the staff is rude to ousiders. I have been in here several times and the staff is unfriendly to those that aren’t regulars. Honestly I’d eat there more if I didn’t feel so uncomfortable from the staff. I have brought others in and they have felt the same. I’d like to note these are during non rush times with a short line so it wasn’t early where there was a huge line.

Authentic NJ bagels — these will not disappoint. There’s a great variety too, though my uncle, who relocated to the midwest, is bummed they don’t(or didn’t when we went) have pumpernickel bagels. I prefer the basic sesame bagel, and will occasionally splurge for the one with swiss cheese on top. Perfect, bagel-wise. I get a bagel from this shop every other Friday morning. Every few months, I’ll upgrade and get bacon, egg, and cheese on my bagel, and it’s always delicious; shockingly delicious if you’ve made the mistake of picking up a breakfast sandwich at the nearby McDonald’s, BK, or Dunkin previously to going to Bagels & Beyond. The real egg, real(and properly cooked, woohoo) bacon, and real cheese just make it silly to go to one of the fast food places. Ever since the Dunkin Donuts opened up across the street, I’ve made a point to hit B&B because I’d hate to see them suffer because a chain opened up nearby. I am a fan of Dunkin’s coffee, but not much else — for the record Bagels & Beyond offers high quality coffee, too, so you won’t miss your Dunkin by choosing to go across the street instead. I agree with some of the other reviews that they can be slow and disorganized, but that’s not usually the case. To be fair, I’m not a Type A personality, and I’ve been there more often when the ship is tight. I think it just depends on the crowd and whether the orders are generally basic, or more elaborate. I’ve been going to this shop for about 4 years now, and there is not a high turnover in staff, which I see as a good thing: the employer is probably decent, and the crew works well together. I would give them 5 stars — and stop in more frequently — if they accepted credit/debit cards. That’s my only complaint.

Slow and disorganized. Lets start with the bad. I ordered a bagel with peanut butter and a porkroll with cheese, it took 30 minutes to get my order. The staff doesn’t seem to be able to multitask and take multiple orders. Instead they take one to two orders at a time while lines mount. Be aware that they are cash only, there is an ATM inside but be prepared to pay $ 2.50 in surcharges. Now for the good. Overall the food is good and what you would expect from a bagel shop. There is a good variety of bagels to choose from as well as a small section of doughnuts. Overall I feel this place survives by being the only bagel/breakfast place in the area. Things like porkroll should not take 30 minutes to cook.

My Personally crafted favorites: 1.Bacon, egg, and cream cheese on a toasted sesame bagel. –Will blow your top off… 2.Porkroll, egg, and jalapeño cream cheese on a french toast bagel. –Will rock your world… Breakfast sandwiches are off the charts… Once you go beyond the bagel you will become a loyal customer for life. They are willing to create any combination of breakfast meat, egg, and cheese that you wish on any one of their amazing bagels. They offer much more than just bagels. Subs/hoagies are also out of this world, fully customizable with a nice healthy portion. Get nice and full for a decent price. Well priced. Friendly service. Heavenly bagels.

Delicious! They make great bagels here, so many. varieties too! It’s always busy which is no surprise. They make tasty breakfast sandwiches(egg everything with steak, egg, and, cheese!!). My fave bagel in non-sandwich form is the tomato garlic provolone with cream cheese. Swiss bagel with chicken salad is delicious too! Cash only, but they do have an atm.

Bagels and Beyond is the nearest bagel joint to my new office, so I was pleased to discover that they turn out a very good rounder. The shop is unassuming, but has a steady flow of business. Once I realized that parking was on the north side of the building(U-turn required), I was able to get in and out in 5 minutes. Their bagels are airy inside with a pleasant crunch and chew exterior. They know not to over knead the dough, which makes the innards too dense. They also use ample toppings(like my dried onion nibs), so if you lose a few in handling it is not a great loss. Of course, there is the great joy of dabbing the cream cheese or butter on the bagel into the windfall flakes and eating them. The folks working there are friendly and efficient. The coffee hot and fresh. The breakfast sandwiches looked good, too. B & B will become a regular stop on my breakfast circuit, especially when I need to eat at my desk.

Good bagels and interesting favors. my favorite??? The Jalapeño and Cheddar bagel with pork roll, egg and cheese and the wife always gets poppy seed with Lox spread. The bagel are good and fresh and the food is good. The different flavors they have are great and these is an interesting flavor for everyone. They also have selections of drinks, coffee, cupcakes and other items that can fill you belly. They do all kinds of sandwiches on hard rolls also and will even doo hoagies. the biggest drawback to this shop is they are an all cash operation. NOCREDITCARDS, and that is a big drawback for me, I rarely carry cash so I don’t frequent them often. Bottom line good place for bagels(have not tried their normal hoagies) but make sure you have cash.

I live nearby and like to get bagels on my way out in the morning there. The bagel selection is pretty vast and has some funky things I haven’t seen elsewhere. Pricing is fair

We get bagels from here often. They are good and they know how to slice taylor ham– i like mine a little crispy. and they later the cheese properly so you get cheese and taylor ham in every bite. This is my favorite bagel place in the area, but i havent tried all of them. Although still not as good as a north jersey bagel!

I love this place! The bagels are ALWAYSFRESH! They make incredible breakfast sandwiches and they have the best french toast bagels I’ve ever had. I’m from North Jersey, so we know bagels! These are the best bagels in Mercer County! The only downside, they only accept CASH. These days, not too many people carry cash around anymore. I usually have to stop at an ATM machine before I go just to have some cash on hand. There is also plenty of seating(tables & chairs) if you would like to eat in.

Mmmmm. So good. They have about 3865934653895 different bagels to choose from all day long as well and about 12643993857 different sandwiches/hoagies/wraps/lunchie-type things to choose from for the afternoon. With good prices on everything, this place can have a line out the door some mornings. Bagels are made fresh and just the way I like them. lots of cream cheese to choose from too ! Try one of their hoagies. not a lot of $$ for a heck of a lot of hoagie. So delish !

They have really improved since my first review. The bagels seem much more fresh and much more flavorful. They have always had a wide selection of bagels and that has not changed. It still does get pretty crowded, which I suppose is a very good sign, and their hot bagel sandwiches do take a long time. They are worth the wait but plan ahead.

Bagels and Beyond is okay, but never really tastes too fresh. The cream cheese isn’t that great either. On a good note, I will say The BLTs are good here.

SHORTREVIEW: YOUMUSTEATHEREASSOONASPOSSIBLE. Long Review: My husband just stopped here this morning to grab a bagel before we headed out for the morning. Now, I pass this place every day and have never stopped in. Always see cars outside though, it just looks like a local hole-in-the-wall. I still can’t vouch for the interior, as I stayed in the car when he ran in — but at 9am he said every table was full and there was a line. One bite of that bagel and I know why. He got an egg bagel that had a slice of tomato baked in, with provolone cheese and minced garlic(baked in as well). Cream cheese was his choice of spread. Now, I’ve never considered my husband a foodie in any way, but I suppose it took the right food. This was the best bagel either of us had ever, ever had. He was willing to let me take ½, but I just let him have his moment and devour the whole thing. I pass here every day and will not let one more slip by without a visit.
