I’ve been to Glen Roc Gallery several times to have custom framing done. The owner Marsha, and her technician Frank, have worked to frame some important pieces for me over the years.
As a professional photographer, I know it’s sometimes hard to summon your creative side when the timelines are tight, and you’re under pressure. They managed to do just that on more than one occasion for me. The first dealing I had with Marsha was to design and distinctively frame a display of my State tax certificate, a one dollar bill with the date marked on it, and a Silver American Eagle coin — all to commemorate the grand opening of my store. An impressive display it was!
The second time she «pulled me out of the fire» was shortly during a Christmas holiday when the original movie cast of «A Christmas Story» autographed a poster for me to give as a gift. Marsha came through in less than a week with the poster uniquely-​framed. My wife loved her gift.
To further illustrate how professional she and her staff are, was when I broke the glass to a framed piece of original art and needed a replacement piece of glass for a hanging that day. She said, «come right over and I’ll cut you one.»
Not only is Marsha a professional framing expert, she and her husband are artists as well. Marsha teaches dancing, and her husband is a painter and sculptor. Their backgrounds are likely what keeps them passionate about Glen Roc Gallery.
