Solid little corner bar in Trenton. Never knew about it until this weekend. We were looking for a spot to grab a beer before a wrestling match at Rider, so I Unilocaled it. Authentic polish food, heavy polish accents surround you, and delicious Zywiec(Polish) beer. My brother and I split pierogies and kielbasa. Had to be the biggest kielbasa I’ve ever seen and was grilled nicely and full of flavor. Pierogies were solid, had a mix of cheese & potato, also meat filled. The bartender was very friendly and extremely polish with her accent, loved it! I’m glad we found this spot, I can get here on my lunch break it’s that close. Been looking for some solid polish food in the area. I have another place on my list to try but for now, this will be my go to polish in the Trenton area. FYI — Cash only, they do have an ATM though.

Went to Rider for a wrestling match and wanted to grab a bite to eat before. Checked Unilocal, and Larry’s was nearby(luckily). Walked in on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. There were about 15 people in the bar(majority Polish, which gave it a very authentic feel). I was with my brother and we decided to sit at the bar. We were waited on immediately. I ordered a Zywiec(Polish beer), which was excellent. My brother and I then decided to split pierogies(meat, onion) and kielbasa. Both did not disappoint. The pierogies were homemade and the kielbasa was more than enough for one person. I would definitely go back. Just a heads up, it’s cash only(there is and ATM on site)

If you like Polish food, beer, and atmosphere, Larry’s Corner Tavern is your kind of place. Sitting at the corner of New York Avenue and Mulberry Street in the bowels of Trenton, Larry’s is a cool oasis where Polish is the primary language, and English is used only when absolutely necessary. Even the Blackboard Specials are in the mother tongue, and require translation by Daria, the amazing bartender and hostess of the dark barroom and back lounge that is called a «Euro» Bar. Although I was there for Pierogies and a drink, I had the misfortune of coming on a day when there were no Potato and Cheese Pierogies, but only the Meat version. No, thanks. Still, the menu had other options and I had their Burger that was dressed with Onions, Peppers, Cheese and a side of Hot Sauce.(Sorry. Can’t remember its name.) It was very good, along with fairly standard French Fries. The best part of the experience was my exchange with Daria. She is a natural friendly, warm and even flirty woman, who keeps the totally male customers in line with funny bilingual quips, and a sharp repartee. All the guys watch her with active imaginations, and she plays her part well. Quite entertaining. I will return to Larry’s some time soon, but call first for the pierogies I remember as being superlative with sautéed onions and cool sour cream. Maybe, I’ll consider their kielbasa or blood sausage if my yearning for my grandmother’s cooking becomes very strong. Parking in the rear, and an outdoor area with picnic tables also available.

Good selection of lagers: Spaten, Pilsner Urquel, Staropramen, Stella and domestics. I ordered Spaten and it was out but I happily settled for a Czech pils for $ 5. Added points for having the brewers’ mugs for each beer. Lively after work crowd with a pool table and lounge area. Picnic tables closed due to weather. Plenty of parking and decent bar food.
