Modell’s Sporting Goods

Okay so my playing sports days are long gone. Aside from working out (which I refuse to spend ridiculous money on workout outfits) I don’t usually have reason to go to a sporting goods store. I’ve been to all the other competitors and modells always has the best prices and clearance items. I had purpose when I went there. Frustrated by many stores I ended up here bc hey ya never know. Even if they don’t have it they can get it. This is a nice large store, it wasn’t crazy busy but had quite a few customers. They had some nice sales going on. The only thing that bothers me is they’re alot of teens and 20 something’s working in the store and granted I was there under an hour but no one offered to help me. I had to track down the shoe guy to look for a size in the back which of course they didn’t have. I kept shopping bc I was intent on not leaving without my sneakers. I’m still disappointed that most shoe stores seem to only carry Nike’s, which doesn’t work for me. I did find several pairs, tried them on and they fit so bonus for me finally. 3 pairs of sneakers in under an hour. 2 were on sale n one was not but still a good deal all in all. No aggravation PRICELESS! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. thanks modell’s.

Selection at Mo’s can be limited compared to stores like Dicks Sporting Goods or Sports Authority. Especially for baseball needs. Gloves are all overpriced at Mo’s, for non-​genuine leather. Bat selection is good during the spring & summer seasons. Clothing and apparel very limited. Decent shoe selection, but wish they sold more variety of baseball cleats. Replica jersey’s are about $ 50 overpriced. Sales staff are nice enough.

Modell’s is our GO TO Place for sporting goods. It is my favorite sporting goods store, «gotta go to Mo’s.» When I lived in Medford, MA, I was so glad there was a Modell’s about a ¼ mile away.
This past summer, I went to buy my daughter to buy new soccer cleats. We were over by Dicks. The salesperson wouldn’t let my daughter get the cleats she wanted. So we went to Modell’s. They had no problem giving my Daughter what she wanted. Staff at Modell’s is always helpful. The cleats also were about 10 percent less than Dicks.
Yesterday, went to buy another pair of Adidas cleats. Staff was very helpful and patient. Modell’s has a great selection and prices seem discounted compared to competing stores.

Overpriced items with not that great of a selection. Go to dicks or somewhere else instead.

Ok. A bit pricey but they do have a decent variety. It’s not a Dick’s Sporting Goods, but it works.
