Payless Shoe Source

I went over to this location because my location had sold through all sandals, as soon as I entered the store I could tell this was going to be an adventure, I received no help from the staff, more interested in reading magazines, my visit was strictly self-​service and thankfully I found a pair that worked well, the price was better than my location but the staff needs to show at least a hint of interest in their jobs because some day management will clean house.

Please believe I would never buy shoes here for myself. I’m just too much of a shoe snob. But I’ve been to many a payless with a girl or two, or three; that’s cool for them in some aspect…
Anyway, I actually just stopped in my local Payless to buy a necklace, where the proceeds were going to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
I wanted to get one as a little gift for a friend who I knew would love it and didn’t want to pay the shipping to order online when there was a store so close. I thought I might even get one to hang on my rearview mirror as well.
Anyway, I walk in to the store, and there’s a group of 5 or 6 young guys/​girls, loud, shooting the shht in the middle of the main aisle. (I love my neighborhood.) They all looked up and paused for a second when I came in, and then returned to the party, already in progress. I noticed one lone older woman patron in the back looking around.
So I start looking through all the little jewelry stands, can’t find it. Look to the main aisle — party still in progress. Got to the other side where the accessories are, can’t find it. Look to the main aisle, party still in progress. Mind you, I’m in plain sight this whole time and spent at least 5 minutes going through everything up front looking for this necklace — nothing. It was more than obvious I needed some sort of assistance — yet there was none to be had.
I briefly eyed one of those money pouches underneath the register, the register with the key in the drawer… wait, what? oh, right…
I have no patience for this type of bullshht, and even if they had what I wanted, by the time someone would have helped me I’d have been out the door. This Payless is already in a dead shopping center, I hope it goes under soon. It deserves as much. It was so worth paying that shipping and handling charge online after all…
