Neat little hole in the wall restaurant. Had a great lunch. .. The fried shrimp are a must! My husband ordered the fried shrimp just as an appetizer, but wished he would’ve skipped the shrimp and grits and just had the fried shrimp basket. I had the crab cake sandwich — the crab cake was great without the bread, loved that it had lots of crab meat and very little«stuffing”/other fillers. The shrimp and grits are different from what we were accustomed to — stone ground grit cake with a thick shrimp sauce poured over it. Actually, had the same thing as a side minus the shrimp in it with my crab cake. Finally, walk in with much patience, unfortunately, this great little find had slow service which was a little frustrating.

Best fried shrimp and flounder I’ve ever had! Amazing service and the batter is unbelievably good. Nicest people working there.

Great Fish, poor service. The counter woman is horrid. I don’t believe she’s ever work in a service role ever. Again great fish, fried to perfection. The poor service just makes it unbearable.

Came here to pick up artwork for an exhibition and did a quick Unilocal search for food. I don’t know Trenton at all and honestly I stuck out like a sore thumb here but if you like your seafood corn meal fried then this place is for you. Definitely worth the experience if you’re in town. Service was super nice. Can’t go wrong with fried shrimp. Scallops were also delicious. Ketchup and hot sauce goes well with everything here.

Great for fried-food lovers. What I tried: Combo deal flounder, 2 shrimps, fries. Plus fried broccoli with cheese separately. Tasty/good/fresh. Fries average. Did not usually notice the place when walking past it until I found out about it online. Easy to miss. People nice. I like the food. Would come again. Update: I’m writing this many months later but the second time I went it was a super long wait for some reason. But I think there was some issue with a certain customer causing the delay. Not sure. But the lady at the counter seems to be patient. Food was overall better the first time, but the first time it happened to be perfect. I think it was just the particular day and circumstances I went the second time. But it was still good! They said to call ahead next time. Also want to note that it’s pricier than I’d wish it was for the food portions. If you are looking for a nice setting, this is not the place. But being in this particular location I can’t complain. It’s Trenton =/but I give most of the weight of my ratings on the food and secondly price. Not the settings. Around here in Trenton there’s barely much else around I’d go for so in those circumstances so it’s still a nice option considering the nice quality food.

I ate here one time. I know everyone raves about it but I just can’t. Shrimp tasted funny and everything was soggy. My guess is because I ordered it and took it back to the office. Maybe if I had it fresh it would be better. I’ll definitely give it another shot, as it wasn’t horrible or anything.

Small family owned resturaunt across the street from Trenton City Hall. Wouldn’t even notice it was there when walking by. Basically a storefront in a row home. Has a banner over the lower roof with the restaurant’s name. Food is out of this world if you like fried stuff. Best fried shrimp I ever had. The shrimp there are jumbo size. I’ve also had the chicken wings and fried flounder before. I don’t know what it is about their batter, but everything comes out fried to a golden crisp and is delicious. Can’t eat at this price point anywhere else. Last time I was there I had 2 fried flounder filets, 2 pieces of fried shrimp, four wings, and fries for $ 10. You can’t beat that anywhere.
