I smoke pork all the time at home. Friends tell me they enjoy my BBQ best of any they’ve had. When I want a sandwich, I go the the Lazy Pig. This is superior food, and I have traveled around and tasted many styles of BBQ. Folks, this is the place to get it. I’m lucky to have this place so close. They have some tables to eat there, or you can carry out. The brisket is as good at the pork. I have not tried the ribs, but others speak highly of them.

I met a friend for dinner at the Lazy Pig, and it was deeeelicious! I got the ribs, and they were outstanding. What I especially liked was the flavor of tender meat that’s been smoked, not just doused with canned BBQ sauce. The collard greens were very good, the potato salad was homemade, and I wish I’d gotten some cole slaw as well. The place is simple but comfortable, the prices are quite reasonable, and the guy working the counter was very pleasant. My only complaint is that the Lazy Pig is too far away for me to visit regularly.

Had the privilege of tasting the wonderul Ribs and Wings at a catered event over the holidays. Tenderly smoked to perfection. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to check out the actual location or the rest of the foods but if the Ribs and Wings are an indication, then the rest of the grub’s gotta be good!

Saw this place coming off of Quantico the other day, it is for sure more of a take out place than a dine in restaurant. The brisket was super tender and delicious as well as the ribs & chicken. The homemade bbq sauce was not to bad, but the mac and cheese was a bit runny. Pretty decent as far as price and if I was going order a take out or cater BBQ I would for sure order here again. We had great company this evening so it was a good night :)

Nice people, clean place, filled me up. Sorry to say it’s just not that good. Due to the low volume of customers it’s clear that they’re cooking early then trying to keep it warm all day. That makes it dry. Best collards I have had in years.

I stopped in at Lunch time with a friend and suprising we were the only ones there. Food is Good, reasonable prices. You would think being so close to a Marine Base they would be packed. Stop by. We need to Support Local Businesses.

Food is great! New location. But service and management are the worst in town, bar none… a town filled with awful food choices. Take your money and taste buds a bit north to Woodbridge and eat at Firebirds. You’re welcome!

Wow. We visited the awesome National Marine Corps. Museum and this little restaurant was almost next door. I had the brisket dinner with green beans and Mac and cheese. My husband had the combo dinner with smoked chicken wings and ribs and baked beans and collared greens. Everything was piping hot and very tasty. Mostly there is a dry smokey flavor to the succulent tender bbq so sauce is not that necessary. The bbq sauce is watery and very flavorful though. They gave us a cornbread roll with the dinners as well.

Finally wanted to try this place out after a year. There was no one there so we got our food pretty quickly. The Rib Dinner was pretty good. 3 pieces of ribs and I got Mac and cheese and baked beans. The Mac n Cheese exceeded my expectations after I saw what it looked like(which it didn’t look bad almost like potato salad) and the baked beans were just like if my dad were to fix them. :) The corn bread was disappointing. I think Famous Daves has better cornbread because its larger, warm, moist and it doesn’t break apart as soon as you touch it(like this one). Overall, I’d visit this place again.

I drive by the place every day on the way to work, and it always smells so good. I finally got a chance to stop in today, and I was bummed out I didn’t sooner. The pulled pork dinner was hella good, and the sides were amazing. I got Mac n cheese and baked beans. The only thing that wasn’t 100% was the corn bread. It was good, but not great, like the rest. The price was fair and the order came out really quickly. I know this place is really new, but I’d love to see some more rustic tables and chairs show up at some point. The vibe of the place is pretty cool, with all the art in the walls and chalkboard menu, and I feel like that would complete it. Still worth a 5⁄5 review though. Stoked to come back!

Food great but the BBQ sause was a bit on the thin side for me, and there sause did not come hot. Atmosphere so, so. Eat in. Since its right on the corner of a main street, parking is very, very limited with about maybe less than 6 cars. More of a take out place for me. but the staff is friendly and music was great. I give it 3 ½ stars for the food and music.

I have eaten at The Lazy Pig several times since my first try and review and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. My new favorite is the rib tips. No sauce, plain is perfect. I pick up an extra to go so I can enjoy later too. The pulled pork sandwich is another favorite. I like cole slaw on it. I usually get the sandwich and the rib tips and leave fat and happy. This is my only BBQ place now and I’m literally eating there once a week.

We are always looking for great BBQ when we travel and we found one of our favorite new spots. Close to I-95, great pulled pork, great sides, great music! The whole staff and owners were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely make sure to go back whenever we pass it during our travels.

I have been here many times and I tried brisket for the first time and I loved it. It tastes awesome with or without the BBQ sauce. This place is my go to to bring friends. It’s fabulous.

As Smoked Wings go, there are NONEBETTER! We used to go to Smokey Bones because they had the only smoked wings in the area! Those days are over. The custom dry rub with its obvious savory herbs can’t be beat. The wings were cooked to succulent perfection and combined with their handcrafted Bar-B-Q sauce made time stand still! I added a little smoked chipotle hot sauce to the mix and was transported to a place of peace and well being. Needless to say I will be back to sample the Ribs as many people were devouring them all around me with sounds of pleasure and satisfaction. The folks that run the place are warm and welcoming and truly care about making your dining experience one to be remembered. Thank you Lazy Pig for being there!

Great food here I hadn’t had ribs in a loooong time so I had got recommended this place while on vacation in Stafford. Slammed the combo dinner which comes with 3 large portions of ribs and two tasty chicken wings. My only rip is the BBQ sauce not as thick as I usually eat but still tasty. If you want a good heavy meal go chow down there

Got the ribs, collard greens, and yams. Succulent meat and great sides. You can sit inside or outside. You can taste the love and time put into cooking the meat. I was really surprised how good the yams were. They were not cloyingly sweet like other places, you can taste the yam and spices. It’s really the essence of comforting, slow cooked, southern bbq. I will be coming back and bringing friends! It’s definitely a homestyle place, and those are always the best. This is NOT a Famous Dave’s, it’s much better and what bbq should be. Also, I disagree with the tip. Bbq isn’t about the sauce, it’s about the meat. The sauce compliments the food, but isn’t necessary. Not to say the sauce isn’t good-it’s balanced and sweet.

Wow what a disappointment! Ten dollars for a brisket sandwich(2″ bun, not toasted), popcorn and powered instant ice tea. Not to mention, the staff at the register strong arm you for a tip. Avoid until they improve.

Fantastic BBQ place. Decent prices. It’s not going to break the bank and you can definitely tell this stuff is made fresh. The coleslaw was perfect creamy slaw. The macaroni was delicious. Their ribs are a dry rub and smoked so dont expect sauce on them however they have a condiment table. The place is like an old house so it’s really comfortable to eat inside. If I lived here is definitely return.

Great new location. BBQ is outstanding. I’ve had the pulled pork, ribs and brisket. Never been disappointed. Green beans and sweet potatoes were the sides I went with they were just as good as everything else. Only 4 stars because the cornbread definitely needs work. If you like corn bread don’t get it here. Not enough to discourage me from coming back multiple times. Will be a staple in my dining.
