La Veta, CO
I have worked in this building off and on for a little over three years now and I still love coming to work here. This place looks like a courthouse should. Big, imposing neo-​classical architecture. Marble walls and floors in the hallways. Courtrooms that could be movie sets (and have been), and haven’t been defaced by some inappropriate (and period-​specific) renovation. I’m looking at you Huerfano County Courthouse, with your late-​60s/​early-​70s plywood paneling in the courtrooms.
This is a place where the business of the People gets done.
