Skyland Pub Bar & Grill

Slowest service i have experienced at a restaurant for a long time. We sat for a good 10 minutes before someone acknowledge us, they were not busy. Our server Darcy. finally came over, she was very nice. We received or drinks promptly, food as well… but once again waited on the server for our check. Good was good and portions large, just don’t be in any type of a time crunch.

Just moved to troutdale. This place is solid all around. Probably one of the best happy hours in greater Portland. 3 – 7 every day with lots of food on special, $ 3 select drafts including micros, and $ 2 wells. The atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is very friendly. They have a ton of tvs, billiards, and video games. Very impressive.

Fun staff and great drinks! Large menu with lots of good meal options. The atmosphere is relaxed and there’s usually a nice mix of older and younger patrons. Locally /​family owned business. I highly recommend you stop by to check it out.

I went here for the first time yesterday, had great fast service from the bartenders. Great cocktails and I wanted to commend one of the servers I think named Randy. My wallet had fallen out of my purse on a busy Saturday night here and it had cash etc in it and she turned it in to the bar there with everything in it and I felt like this is something that needs to be stated. I was so relieved that a good honest person found it. They are a great staff! We will be back! Thank you.

I’ve been friends with most every person that’s worked here since ²⁰⁰⁷⁄₀₈. Every employee here is cool, personable and cares about your experience.
Most importantly, I’ve watched without fail every server, bartender or back of the house employee at some point or another, genuinely express their interest and concern for your safety and others, when they’ve felt you’ve had a «better night than originally planned?»

Getting worse every time I come here. I’ve sat at skyland from 6:30 until 9 with no server. We asked if we had a server, the guy told us it was him and walked away and never took our order hours later. Jack has awesome customer service whenever we have him but everyone else has been terrible! Don’t expect to get good service if you come here!

Favorite bar in Troutdale/​Gresham. Great burgers, soup/​salad/​bread and good breakfast… and most importantly, strong drinks!
Guaranteed to always see someone you know, whether you like it or not! Usually good music (country!) except for when the «other» crowd shows up and plays their metal music from 2005. Luckily, another customer or bartender walks over to change it fast.
Bartenders are always great and are good to you once they know you (so you have to be sure to break in the newbies).
Lots of TVs = lots of football during the season. 5 stars in our book.

The outdoor deck is the best place to hangout during the summer!

Reasons to go: Good location, TV’s everywhere, good place to just «hangout». Some of their happy hours specials are awesome, which is quite an extended time during dinner. The $ 3 pita pizza is one of the best deals you’ll find anywhere. Got my food in decent time even with how busy it was. The chefs there know what they are doing. HUGE menu, have something for everything. Good selection of draft brews as well.
Reasons not to go: Service is spotty. It can get very busy. Most of the waiters/​waitresses did not seem like they wanted to be there, and one of them even took a xanax right in front of me.

Great food while we watch the game! The macaroni wedges are AMAZING. It was a really busy night and the staff were still really nice and engaging. The food has been great every time we go.

We visited last night – a last minute decision after the place we intended to go wasn’t available. One thing that drew us in is their statement that they get their meats from White’s Country Meats, which is where we purchase our own meat. Please note, this review is only for the happy hour menu.
There were a lot of interesting sounding things on the HH menu; I settled on sharing the spinach artichoke dip with hubby, and having the southwest munchers for myself. Hubby decided on the Frisco Burger.
Dip was great, sw munchers were tasty and super hot. The burger… needs a little improvement. It was hard to tell if it was cooked from frozen, but it seemed like it. The patty needed more seasoning and was over cooked. There was a charred taste that stuck in my mouth and took over my taste buds. I would definitely give it another try, though.
Our waiter was friendly and on top of things. Bathrooms were clean. There were some arcade games we can’t wait to try next time.

Service is horrible if your even lucky to get it. Two thumbs down there. Sat for 15 mins and literally watched others walk in after we got there and they walked right up to them and got their drinks started. That bar sucks and I was once again reminded why I don’t eat there. Get better employees who notice two people sitting at a table with no drinks in front of them.

So a lady sent me a message and pretty much said «I’m sorry, blah blah blah.» But what got me is that she said that I didn’t have to bad mouth them on social media. Which if you read above, I don’t believe I did. I was nice about it and didn’t use one bad word. And that instead of «bad mouthing» them I should call a number. Which believe me lady, I won’t. But I’ll reiterate the same thing I said above. «Your bar sucks. This is not the first time I’ve had this issue. I’ve had this issue with this bar more than a handful of times, even when it is not busy. I will continue to not recommend your bar to others, know why? Because it’s my 1^st amendment right». :) Go Donald Trump

Went there last Friday for the first time. Loved it! Playing pool and having a couple really made my night. Customers get to choose the music and the customers always getting it right with the country genre. Friendly environment! A bit crowded but hey, that only means that the place is grand! Going again tomorrow. Making it an every Friday thing for now.

Met my best friend here for an hour or so the other night. I Grew up in Corbett and this was my first time being in to Skyland. I used to hear about how ghetto and run down it used to be so I was always a little weary of coming in. I finally decided to give it a try. There was a pool tournament or something going on the night we went, but the atmosphere was still relaxed, bartenders were nice, and the servers were prompt with the drinks and food orders. I didn’t stay long, but I will be going back when I get the chance.

I think the best way to describe this place is «consistent». Service is very good, food is very good as are the drinks. And it’s great place to go anytime of day or night.

The positives… EXCELLENT food and well-​made mixed drinks, (not watered down or mostly juice)… Yeah, I can be a fru-​fru drinker ;) Clean and I’ve never encountered an unfriendly staff member. Easy to give your friends directions, it’s very visible on the corner of Troutdale Road and Stark Street! They offer outdoor seating!
The negatives… they can be very busy, (can be a good thing too). Parking can be a bit of a pain, especially during events. Some businesses surrounding it bans parking in front of their businesses of course.

I have been here multiple times over the last couple of years. They recently remodeled and things are much cleaner and sharp. They have one of the best happy hour menus in the Troutdale area (cheap and delicious). They offer bar snacks and also have a full restaurant menu. The food was surprisingly good for a bar. Have always been treated very nicely by the staff and served quickly even when it is busy. Mixed drinks are priced well and they have a great selection of beer on tap.

Easy going place with decent food and good libations. We always get the same server and she is pronto with her service as well as very friendly.
We try and stay away from your typical greasy burger/​fries and they actually have a menu with salads on them. We usually have salmon caesar salad. with a side of tator tots. (OK so I cheat a little — what the hell — I’m in a sports bar).
We come here for the games only so we have one point of view but that’s good enough for us.
As some of the reviews stated, this is a mixed crowd some older and some younger. It’s more of a divey neighborhood bar yet you never feel like you are in the wrong hood when you sit down with a cold one and the Seahawks on the screen.

My best friend and I used to go to this bar all of time as she lived fairly close and they made pretty good drinks.
I attended last night and boy was the place packed, but I should’ve known as it took me almost 5 minutes to find a parking spot.
I love the diverse crowd that this bar brings, the drinks are nice and tasty, not too strong, but definitely not watered down. My only complaint/​suggestion would be is to order at the bar as we ordered from the waitress that came to our table and about 20 minutes later we still hadn’t received our drinks so I had to go hunt her down. Found her at the bar stuffing her face. I understand that she was probably hungry and hadn’t ate as the place was pretty packed, but take care of your customers first.

I thought this bar was great with all the elements of a good neighborhood bar. Both older and young folks were having a good time. Service and food were both pretty good. Great SPICY chicken wings. Really hot, more of a drop kick than just kick, but tasty! Burger was decent too.
Lots of pool tables that I recall being only 50 cents to play rather than the standard 75 cents. Drinks were cheap! Plenty of TVs for sports viewing. Hip hop on the juke. Overall pretty chill, dope little place in in the T-​dale.
