Great food, wonderful pricing, fast and courteous. Not much ambiance if you dine in but very presentable. I like the house lo mein and moo goo gai pan.

Fast and friendly place for take out, not fine dining if you choose to stay but Not bad for a quick meal with your buddies. I’m glad we have Chinese food in Troutman ! Good cleanliness rating and parking. The shrimp lo mein is tasty !

Just ate here for the first time. I had the moo goo gai pan, which was delivered with plentiful white rice and huge, delicious mushrooms and snow peas. It was delicious and fast and priced at a mere $ 5.65. I will definitely eat here again and try other dishes. Health rating was posted and clearly indicated 98.5, a very respectable number. The only reason I give it a 4 is that it not fine dining, so you should expect a simple, tasty, fast meal at a very good price, but not fancy ambience or pretentious food.

This place used to be good when they first started but they’ve fallen off. Their health grade has dropped. A friend of mine order broccoli and rice and there literally was black bugs on it. I’m done with this place.

I think China Garden is just standard Chinese food. Lots of rice or noodles, some kind of meat and an egg roll. Since work isn’t too far away and Troutman doesn’t offer up many choices this place is alright for the price if you want to get some take out. The restaurant itself is in an okay condition. On the rough side though. But this place has what I’d say is the most unique thing for any Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to — you can’t possibly miss all the pictures they’ve put up of their wedding all over the place. Not saying it has anything to with the food but it’s an interesting little characteristic that you won’t find too many other places. It’s like this southern Christian idea of family mash-up with the Chinese restaurant business plan.

Even if, IF, the food was really good and IF they did not over charge, it wouldn’t matter b/c they always get the take out order wrong, wrong, wrong. Even though it’s merely two miles from my pagoda, I will drive further to get better.
