This event was a blast! Registration was easy, parking was easy, weather was unbelievable, everyone was in the happy spirit of Spring and Easter. My favorite part was probably when the Easter Bunny made an appearance. He ran across the top of the hill waving, then he falls over and rolls around. Very strange, but appropriate for a grown up egg hunt. LOL. The hunt itself was intense! I’m glad I wasn’t pummeled and I was quite happy with my winnings. I grabbed about 15 eggs, scoop and run style. I loved the prizes: beers, gift certificates, snickers bars, balloon sculptures. YAaaaaay. After the hunt there was a build your own ice cream sundae line! Impressive! What more could the young at heart desire? For next year, I would love it if they didn’t put wrapper-free chocolates in the eggs. That was gooey and messy. Fun times in prospect park!

This event was run extremely well. They had a back up plan for the people who wanted to participate but couldn’t due to the cut off. The check in process was smooth, the auctions were really great. It had a smooth feel to it, there was no point where I was like«Well…they could have done this better…» I don’t think I anticipated how quickly it would be over. The field was stacked with eggs and it took about 10 minutes till they were all gone. I got 14, I’m fairly athletic and pretty bold. There were a lot of people who didn’t get a lot of eggs, b because it starts up hill leaving anyone who isn’t althetic to a instant disadvange(there is a spot that is flat you can start at… but I don’t think people realized how intense it would be) I mean people SWIPED eggs out from under my hands. It was ruthless. It was a lot of fun, but it was intense and over quick. Also I’m vegan… so my dad will love me because he gets my candy, but I could really only eat the skittles and starburst. In my dream world there would be a vegan exchange center for vegans to turn in their non-vegan chocolates for vegan candies haha. I did win two beers though! And my cousin one some vouchers, and my friend Megan won two things in the raffle! In the future I would want the event to go on longer, maybe more booths, or activities? a beer tent? I’m not entirely sure but I felt like it all happened so fast. It was a great event. I’m also sort of disappointed that I didn’t get to experience the 10 dollar explore Troy portion… I feel like I would have really liked that too.

Best charity event you could attend. Great way to spend a day and help a charity at the same time.
