Aseelah Braids

I found Aseelah on Craigslist and took a chance based on the photos of her work alone. I gave her a call and she was not only professional but personable, she even gave me some helpful tips for my hair over the phone. I explained to her the hairstyle that I wanted and she told me she could do it, but sometimes you just never know with hair braiders. I headed over to her house and she was just as warm in person as she was over the phone. The benefits of getting your hair done at her house was that there were no customers going in and out while you’re looking crazy (half fro, half braids), it’s private, and there’s no hair salon drama! I wanted a short bob hairstyle but the back of my hair would need to be cut… NOPE! She braided the back of my hair upwards and tied it down, then she let the braids fall over the tied down hair so that it would not visible. Don’t ask me to go more in depth about that, because I’m still confused but it worked! I wanted a Maxine Shaw hairstyle from the tv show «Living Single» and she delivered honey! I left with a beautiful hairstyle made entirely from yarn –yes, yarn– and I left with a ton of info about hair care and recommended products for maintenance. Oh! And she makes house calls too!
