Five Star Nails & Tan

I had to have acrylic nails removed, which I was hesitant about, because a different nail salon had actually hurt my nail beds when doing a fill in for the acrylics. This salon was totally painless and took no time at all (less than 25 minutes) to remove the acrylics and apply shellac for me, which cost less than having the acrylics refilled at a different salon.

The gentleman who did my nails was very nice and did a good job but the massage wasn’t very long, I wasn’t offered detailing even though I walked in with it, and I wasn’t offered help removing the sandals or toe dividers. This basic pedicure was also $ 7-​$ 10 more than I’m used to paying. I won’t be back.

I love the salon, it’s clean, nicely decorated. The technicians are friendly, fast and always willing to please the customer. Been a customers for several years. Also a plus, you don’t need an appointment, this really works best for my schedule!

I waited the same ridiculous amount of time with my scheduled appointment as the girl who came at the same time with no appointment. What’s the point of an appointment? I don’t really care for the nail techs either. I don’t recommend spending your money here.

I don’t know what these bad reviews are about! I have been to 5 star four or five times and my nails have turned out great each time. I am not too fond of the employees except for the man who does nails but thats just me. There’s a pretty good amount of colors and they do a mean hand and arm massage. I would recommend this place.

Beware — the former owner Leo has left the salon and unfortunately the quality of the services has suffered! I recently went for a pink & white set and was there 2.5 hours! While the end result was satisfactory, I can tell that the nail tech’s experience & technique is lacking, not to mention the time it took. I am bummed because this was a very convenient location for me. Also, anyone that knew Leo will tell you his personality & sense of humor is sorely missed. He was a pro! Leo, how could you leave us?!

This place is horrible! I decided to go in and get my nails done last week and requsted shaluk. First of all, one of my nails was breaking (hang nail) and I requested the women to cut it in order to avoid snags and further damage to the nail. After several requests, she continued to do the shaluk polish on that nail. Secondly, it was a very messy job and timely process — took the women 2 hours to complete it. Finally, after a few days, my polish starting turning greyish black and my nails look horrible. I wasted $ 37.00 on this french manicure in order to have this women create a mess out of my nails. I don’t like to get online and complain but I do not suggest anyone goes to this salon for manicures that involve shaluk. They do not know what they are doing… it was a horrible experience!!!
