My SA was very helpful and even gave me a tour of the store before I made my purchase :)

They do not have a full section of purses and service was not so great. I was undecided between two tote bags and kept trying for quite a long time, the woman who helped me was very impatient. I ended up left the store and bought the same purse on GUCCI’s website. It was the exact same purse that I was trying in store, and the sales rep could have made that commission out of me. Customer service couldn’t be more important especially for premium products. Gucci should better train their staff or at least hire the right people.

I visited this Gucci location at Somerset a couple of months ago while in Michigan. They do not have the full section like the Gucci at South Coast Plaza in CA which I cannot understand. Every time I go in there when I’m home I can never find what I’m looking for. This time I actually got a sales person who was not snobby. I just don’t understand these retail people that treat buying consumers poorly, rudely and like their better than everyone else because they work in a high-end place. Maybe if they treated the people that didn’t «act» like they had money(in which most of them don’t) respectfully, they would have more customers in their store. Every-time I go in, there’s never anyone in there except the sales people. Strange. Shawn waited on me while I was shopping and looking for a specific Gucci. He was the only really nice one and knew how to treat a potential customer and buyer. Although they didn’t have what I wanted in stock, I ended up purchasing my Gucci purse online, and I LOVE it! :)

I would like Gucci better if they had a lot selection then what they have in our Somerset boutique. However their store size is limited and i’m sure they can not carry all of their items in the store. I like the Gucci in Chicago and at South Coast Plaza a lot better. Staff here is great and friendly although they can get distracted when waiting on other customers or ‘trophy wives’.

I’ve been a fan of the house of Gucci since I began following the career of Tom Ford. I can’t say that much for the Gucci store in Somerset though. In comparison to the Gucci store in Chicago on Michigan Avenue or the location inside the Mall of Millenia in Orlando they just can’t compete as far as selection. I find the Somerset location to be more of a boutique that carries some and not all of the line. What I dislike the most about the store is the service. It cracks me up how the people that work in high end stores tend to be snobbish. And I know that’s not the attitude of the design house because I only see that attitude at this location. If the service were better it would have gotten four stars, after all it is Gucci but the selection bumbs me out.
