Honeybaked ham is ever so popular. It use to be one of a kind, but now everyone is doing the honey glazed thing now, and for much cheaper. However, it has been a tradition in our home to have a Honeybaked ham every year at Christmas. Sticker shock: It’s now $ 7.19/lb. You can buy other knock off ones at area grocers for about $ 1.10 — 2-something a pound. Maybe they’re not as good, but our ham cost over $ 50.00! While I don’t regularly eat meat, I did pinch a tender piece from near the center bone. I’m not knocking the flavor; it’s just ridiculously expensive. They sell sides too. Their sweet potato casserole is sweet and delicious. We had no wait in line to pick up our ham this year, so maybe folks are cutting back on expenses this year. My mom swears this is the last time she buys one, but that is what she said last year.
