I was surprised when I saw an ad for this little place in my local paper indicating they do individual sandwiches. I always thought they were strictly catering. It turns out they do focus primarily on catering but also do individual sandwiches. I ordered two — a Ruben and a Club. Both were huge and EXCELLENT(and very reasonably priced)! The bread was freshly made and very tasty. The meats were also fresh and tasty. The place itself is obviously geared to take-out service, as they only have one table with 2 chairs. The«server» was very friendly. I will definitely visit again when I’m in the neighborhood and need to grab a quick, fresh deli sandwich.

one star too many. Putting rotten strawberries as a garnish on the desert tray makes me question the quality of the rest of the food served. We received rotten strawberries on every desert tray ordered for a span of over a year. Why include the strawberries at all if they are rotten? The person who put them on the tray has such low standards for food quality that they didn’t think there was anything wrong with this. Since this happened multiple times, we stopped ordering food from them and found several alternative catering services.

In all honesty except for one major transgression they had the chance to be rated a four star. I also experienced their lunch catering. My big issue here is that EVERYTHING was COVERED in mayo. Not everyone loves mayo, and I’m quite sure that those out there that don’t will agree with me that it completely changes the taste of everything. Even if you scrape it off, the flavor lingers. And of course, in a catered lunch situation the sandwich trays sit out. At room temperature. Warm mayo. Mmmmmmm… barf. So to summarize: great bread. great service. would be great sandwiches but all I tasted was MAYO. Isn’t it just common sense to put condiments on the side?! Geeze.

The only thing I love more than pleasant surprises are pleasant surprises that are jewelry. This was certainly a pleasant surprise! I was in CPR training(cuz that’s how I roll) at my job and this was ordered in for the people in the class. They sent sandwiches, pickles, pasta salad, bag chips, pops, and a dessert tray. The sandwiches were egg salad on white, chicken salad on wheat, plus turkey, ham, roast beef, and corned beef on different types of fresh baked bread. The marble rye is great, if you’re into that sort of thing… I tried a half sammie of egg salad and half sammie of corned beef, both were really good, but the corned beef was a tiny bit stringy. Not a major offense, but I’m sure some are more picky about these things. The pickles were cut into big chunks, and reminded me of the ones my grandma made when she was still alive. This got them some major bonus points for childhood memories. The pasta salad was a spiral pasta with a creamy garlic and dill dressing. It was YUMMY!!! It could have done without the chunks of chicken though. they were dry, but thankfully big enough that I just pushed them aside. The dessert tray was pretty amazing! I tried a lemon square and it was tart and creamy and yummy and left me wanting to undo my pants to give myself some more room. Then I realized I was at work and figured I’d better button my pants back up before someone notices. LOL Lemme know if any of you need CPR. I have a card and everything! /Yum!
