Piggly Wiggly of Troy

It is a crappy grocery store in the crappiest part of Troy. BUT… for lunch they have an awesome cafeteria stile lunch. I highly recommend it.

For those truly wanting to experience authentic small-​town Alabama life, look no further than the Piggly Wiggly just past downtown Troy on 3 Notch Street.
What’s more, and this is a real secret I’m letting you in on Unilocalers, is that this Piggly Wiggly has an absolutely incredible breakfast experience waiting for you at the Pig Café. This is an old-​fashioned breakfast line kind of joint, where you go down the line scooping what you want onto your plate (biscuits, awesome cheese grits, hearty pieces of bacon and sausage, etc.) and pay at the end of the line.
Don’t be surprised to find the Pig Café full of Troy’s hard-​working men and women of all trades talking shop and socializing before a hard day’s work. If you stay in Troy for any length of time, be brave and try the Pig Café, and, what the heck, shop at the low-​priced Piggly Wiggly grocery store next door!
