Had some work done a month or so back. Wasn’t pleased. The owner Mike, was stoned and seemed shady. Turns out he would go to his van periodically and puff on his E-Vap cigarette, which by the end of installation I figured out he put his marijuana in there. Quoted me a price, but by the end of the install it turned out to be more.
I was referred to him through a friend. However my friend recently found out Mike would use old parts from furnace/air conditioners and charge customers top dollar as if the parts he replaced were «new». The only way my buddy ever knew this is because the part Mike put in, went bad. So my buddy called a more «reputable» company and the tech actually knew what R&R mechanical were known to do. In my eyes, Mike is nothing but a hack. Be aware if u need Hvac work done!

R&R was awesome to work with! We are new home owners, new to Michigan and honestly did not know much about our HVAC. Mike explained everything that we needed to do in the Summer and Fall (specifically turning the humidifier off and switching some things to summer). He called me back almost immedietly to set up a same day appointment and I had even called during closed hours.
Their pricing was competitive and they also offer a really good rate to set up PM Maintenance for the spring and fall (furnace and ac). Highly recommend.

Hit by the great flood of 2014 and had to have someone come out to get our water heater going again. Gave Mike a call the day after the disaster (August 12, 2014) and he made it a point to make it out that day, something of a small miracle as everywhere else we were calling were estimating 3 – 4 days out. When he came, he was so helpful and got our water heater going right away. He even checked our furnace as well and gave us some tips on how to make sure to dry out our basement. It was a relief to have hot water again and to have someone who was friendly, helpful, and empathetic to our mini disaster zone. I will definitely call in the future if necessary!

Very quick service at a fair price. I highly recommend using them for service or maintenance of furnace and A/C systems. The contractor that installed my furnace closed for good and I needed emergency service. I called one of the big name companies that advertise everywhere. For $ 150 they came to my house and wanted to charge me another $ 850 for a part that was still under the manufacturers warranty. And they had to order the part. AND I had to pay up front even if the part wasn’t in fact what my furnace needed. So I declined the repair from them and called R and R. He came to my house first thing in the AM with the part we needed and he had the furnace running in less than an hour. He just charged me the warranty deductible and for the hour labor. They will be the place I call first from now on!

I had a huge A/C problem and this company was the only one that was able to fix it. Mike came out and tested every aspect of the system and was able to pinpoint the problem and fix it on the spot. He even came out after 6 PM, which was a huge plus for me since I don’t get home from work until then. I should have called Mike sooner because my air conditioner had been broken for about 5 days, and three other companies failed to fix it. In fact, all three just told me to buy a new one. Being female sometimes people try to overcharge or just make me ‘buy a new one’ but Mike didn’t do that to me. He was honest — way more honest than anyone else who came here. I am seriously so happy right now.
