I have been visiting EHF every winter for more than 20 years with my family. It is my favorite weekend in the winter and I cannot praise this place enough. It’s good old fashioned farm fun with tons of activities for all ages. Their food is(almost) entirely locally grown, there’s arts and crafts, outdoor sports, bingo, dancing, ping pong tables, a pool and hot tub, and all kinds of animals to visit. The staff is fantastic and it is always a wonderful weekend away to recharge, be with family, and remember what’s important in life. Clearly, I highly recommend it ;)

Been going to the«farm» with our same friends the same week for 10 years now. Yes it’s 3000 miles away, yes I live in Los Angeles the«entertainment capital of the world». Yes I have traveled and lived the globe. You won’t find a more authentic, fun, unique, wholesome place to hang out. Your kids will have a blast, and they will be bummed out when it’s time to go home. If you have never milked a cow, eaten a fritter, climbed a mountain and eaten the fresh blueberries, had an afternoon frolicking off a dock in the middle of a beautiful lake, playing in a shuffleboard tournament, or an evening contra dancing, then it’s time to head off to the«farm». PS Can’t beat the price for what you get.

So I want to let you know that this review is outdated. I have not been here in about 2 decades, but I went almost annually for close to a decade as a kid. The Inn at East Hill Farm was critical in my early love of food, and there are scents, flavors, and respect for food that stuck with me as a young adult, my almost decade as a chef in highly rated restaurants, and today when I cook for my family. The first thing that got me was the bread. They always had the best fresh bread brought to the table at dinner. I remember as a kid descending upon the fresh loaves with wonderment and a primal desire to eat the whole thing. The rest of the food was always great as well. To be at a working farm and to milk cows and collect chicken eggs for us to eat later brought a connection I never had as a kid. The added experience of bringing the eggs into the professional kitchen was a fantastic vision that still is vivid in my mind 25+ years later. I did not realize at the time, but the impact of literally going farm to plate would have an impact on my respect for food as I grew. There is a lot of other things I loved, but I am sure a lot has changed since I last went there. I do know that reading by a crackling fire in the winter, ice skating, watching baby animals in the spring, and host of other great experiences will remain part of the farm forever. Even back then it felt like transporting back in time to better food, and a more relaxed life. I was a child who could not sit still, but at night in a simpler style I would read for hours on our family vacations. There was something special about«The Farm» to us as kids. I will be returning in the next few years as my son is old enough to stand and experience this treasure of a family vacation. I want my son to enjoy his time at the Farm as much as I did when I was a boy… and I want more of that damn bread!

We had a great long weekend. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our 9 year old daughter loved the farm, egg collecting, hayrides, crafts, indoor pool, s’more making, and of course the horse back riding. The food was good and the chef made gluten free vegetarian options for us at every meal. It was an easy drive from the Boston area and a very fun and relaxing weekend.
