This family has been providing amazing carry-out for at least 15 years — probably longer. The Almond boneless chicken is delicious!

This was our favorite Chinese food for several years. We would pass other Chinese restaurants just to get to this one. However, since the change in ownership it is not the same. The food is good but much smaller portions. Not the same«must go to place».

What happened to our favorite restaurant? Are they under new ownership? We ordered our usual General Tso’s and it was just not the same. Also, the breading on the orange chicken was gritty and gross. Lo mein wasn’t bad.

This used to be our go to place for take out, but the food has gone down hill in our last few visits. There was rumors that they were trying to sell the establishment but it didn’t go through, wonder if their hearts are still in the business? We are looking for another takeout location.

I don’t get why this restaurant would receive anything more than two stars. Yes, it’s edible. But, I’d never eat it again by choice. Just finished lunch and the egg drop was a flavorless, gelatinous mass. The almond boneless chicken was dry and the fried rice was also dry, tasteless, devoid of egg, and had a few tiny morsels of chicken in it that indicated it must be pretty old. Will not return.

The General Tso’s chicken is simply the best EVER. I’ve tried all the places around Troy and Sterling Heights and there is no other place that has the General Tso’s chicken that Wongs has. Everyone else uses the same type of over battered soggy chicken(you know what I’m talking about). Wongs Garden uses a sweeter sauce than usual which I think is better(personal preference) and even better is the chicken which is big pieces of lightly battered and ALWAYS crispy even if you pick it up a little later than the intended time which I think is just purely magic lol. If you haven’t tried Wongs Garden then you are definitely missing out on some possibly the best general Tso’s chicken ever.

#6 General Tao’s Chicken is the best dish I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve traveled the whole world looking for something as good, but nothing compares. Mrs. Wong is the best.

Yeah it’s really dated inside. Yeah it’s really not a «sit down» fancy place like Mon Jin Lau. Yeah the mom at the register is kind of like the soup nzi from Seinfeld. But the food is always really fresh and great quality. Just don’t order the dinner rolls because they run out and I want some to be available when I put my order in!!!

The only place for Chinese take out! We were introduced to the restaurant over 10 years ago. The owners daughter asked several people to come to her family’s restaurant. Everything I have ever tried has been awesome! Even when we get the food home it is still hot! I would highly recommend this place! Wong’s Delight is one of my favorites. My husband will only eat their sesame chicken.

Wong’s is my favorite Chinese restaurant anywhere. I’ve lived in Ann Arbor and Chicago during the past five years and I was never able to find a place in either city that topped Wong’s in taste or quality. My family has been going here since it opened – the owner used to work at Peking House in Royal Oak(totally delicious), our favorite place when we lived there. Food is great, reasonably priced and we’ve been going so long that we know the family who owns the place. They’re good people. Wong’s, please don’t ever leave.

Wong’s Garden has to be one of the best Chinese Restaurants I’ve eaten at. I mean really, the food makes up for the ghetto interior AND the rude owner/waitress/cashier lady. I first thought it was a joke when my best friend took me there for the first time, but after the food came out, I understood what she meant. The egg roll was crispy & nutty and the general tso’s and sesame chicken was seriously the best. I couldn’t believe how crispy the chicken’s breading was under all the sauce. Their general tso’s and sesame chicken aren’t like any other. They are more like strips, rather than the usual bite-size pieces you get at some other restaurants. While the food may be served in a smaller portion and may be a little more expensive, I must say, it was worth every penny.

Wong’s Garden for the few times i have ordered a carryout, has undoubtedly moved to top of my list for Chinese takeout. I ordered a variety of the menu to encompass just how good people were telling me it was… they were right. Everything from rice to orange chicken was tasty to say the least. I have yet to eat in house, but the takeout has been above par for sure.

I have to say that I agree with Brian N. on this one… Wong’s is the shiznit. I will admit that a Wongs regular’s enthusiasm for the food will not at all match the restaurant’s appearance to a new Wongs customer. My first time in, I kind of thought that the people I were with were kidding. The place has dingy wallpaper, a total of three tables and a Pepsi cooler where you can pick your own can of pop. The food is probably some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, and this is the ONLY place where I’ll eat the egg rolls. I hated egg rolls until the day that someone bought me lunch there — I went with«eat everything on your plate» concept because I didn’t want to seem unappreciative for lunch. I devoured my egg roll and had to be cautious not to inhale my food. So good… Sesame chicken = amazing. And honestly, most restaurants can’t steam vegetables they way they do at Wong’s. Having broccoli that is bright green and doesn’t completely disintegrate when touched with a fork is a pretty good food accomplishment… Try it out. It’s a hole in the wall, but sometimes those are the best places!

Wongs is the best carry out Chinese in Troy hands down. I’ve never had a carry out or sit down come close to their General Tso’s Chicken. Also my wife swears by their Chicken lo mein. The only issue I’ve had is the older lady that owns it can be grumpy on the phone. Think of it like the soup nazi from Seinfeld, well worth the annoyance for the fantastic food. Would give a 6th star if I could.
