Ok. So this isn’t really a shopping center, but it is a district in Truckee. There’s the main downtown, and then there’s Brickelltown. Just love that name. I guess in the old days, this was kind of a town in its own right, even though Truckee was about 200 feet away! Guess saddling that horse up was not worth the trip. But, if you are in Downtown Truckee, the short walk to Brickelltown is worth it. They have some great shops down there… Tippy Canoe and Riverstone are home decorating stores with a cool Tahoe and outdoor feel. There’s Riverside Studios and Fair & Green(which I’ve already reviewed cause they were such cool people in the stores). And you can even get a hair cut, massage, or facial at Glow or Mane Attraction. Trio wine bar is there, too… yummy! They have great wines, and some snacks to keep you going. And if you’re getting married, or need flowers for a special someone, right next to Trio is Elizabeth’s Creations Floral Studio. My hubby bought me an arrangement, and it is gorgeous! This is the hidden secret shopping spot in Truckee! Visit Brickelltown next time you’re in Truckee… Another couple of shops have gone in since I wrote this review this summer. Feather’s Edge Finery and Drake & Lulu’s Art Shed. Local art, reclaimed art, you name it… Brickelltown is the art center of Truckee since the Truckee Gallery went out of its location.
