The coffee is very good. Much prefer the one by the Sears store because they actually have parking and rarely a big line.

Found this place by recommendation from a local. My husband and I are visiting from out of town for the weekend and are so happy to find a place we can come for a great cup of coffee(and they know how to make a proper froth on a latte) and a wholesome healthy meal anytime! The organic poached egg on toast and the vegan whole wheat sandwich are super yummy. The house made pickles are the bomb! Service is friendly and efficient. And the place has a positive vibe. Definitely a designation especially if you’re from out of town

I usually love this place! Normally I’d give it 5 stars, and next time I come in I will change my rating if it gets better. But today my order got messed up twice. Unfortunately since I got it to go and left before trying it, I didn’t catch the mistakes until later :(I got a triple shot coconut milk latte, but the barista made it a double. That’s okay, not a huge deal, probably a miscommunication, worst thing is I was overcharged .85, whatever. The second mistake, however, can get a little tricky. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito but they gave me the meat one. I’m not a vegetarian so it all ended up okay, but I just want the coffee bar and its customers to be aware of the mistake because messing up orders like that can lead to some big problems if someone has an allergy or is vegetarian. I still recommend Coffeebar and I will still continue to patronize

Hidden on Jibboom street behind the historic shops on Donner Pass Road. This is a unique upscale coffee house. They also have excellent sandwiches and real Italian gelato. Try the lavender or vanilla latte.

If you’re craving a quality warm beverage in the Truckee area — Coffeebar should be a no-brainer. Coffeebar is a quintessential adorable local gem, which has a slew of innovative coffee and hot drinks. With tummy delighting sippers such as the Caffé Marocchinoa and the Lemon Chiffon Latte — they excel at making liquid art. Coffeebar also carries both coconut milk and almond milk — and if you’re having trouble deciding on something — definitely ask for a recommendation. In addition to an amazing drink selection — Coffeebar has a formidable breakfast menu — featuring house-made daily baked pastries, yummy breakfast crepes and homemade granola bowls. For lunch — be sure to check out their creative panini and crêpe choices. Coffeebar is the place to be for a delightful coffee or tea fix(they have a fantastic loose leaf tea selection). Just note that it can get busy on the weekend — so be prepared for a little wait. Trust.

Super friendly coffee shop in Truckee. My triple shot almond latte tasted great! It was a much better alternative to Starbucks. Check into Unilocal for a free extra espresso shot.

Perfect coffee & quick breakfast joint to stop by while passing through Truckee. They also have 10 different kinds of chai and tea lattes and a wide selection of looseleaf tea! Lots of breakfast options: crepes, a bomb breakfast burrito, pastries, Italian sandwiches… The breakfast burrito is grilled and has sweet potato hash, kale, and eggs with a side of sriracha aioli. Friendly baristas. Lots of seating. Cute town. Will be back on my way to/from north Tahoe!

Great find in Truckee! This was honestly one of the smoothest, frothiest almond milk cappuccinos I’ve had in a long time! They used organic almond milk & it was $ 4 for a 12 oz. cup. Parking was free & the place was pretty popular. Lots of seating. They also offered Regular &GF muffins, as well as sandwiches, croissants, and other breakfast/lunch items. We will be back!

First time here staying with some friends in Truckee for a class at Squaw. Dropped into here for some quick eats and coffee. Décor is awesome. It is def the up an coming spot for downtown Truckee. Service was spot on and quick. The food was quality and coffee did the trick. I would recommend this to anyone looking for coffee and some breakfast in Truckee. Cheers.

Every time that we are in Truckee we end up getting coffee here at least once. Definitely great quality of coffee and a great place to also grab a bite to eat. We recently discovered that they also sell wine here — great stop to buy a bottle to take home without going to the super busy Safeway. Why not 5 stars? The parking in downtown truckee can be impossible and the small parking lot makes it sometimes difficult to get that desired cup of coffee. Tip: There are more locations!

Came by the Coffeebar as a pitstop on a Tahoe trip. I’ve always had a soft spot for Truckee, but I had never been to this coffee shop before. It is just off to the side from the Truckee downtown main road, and is fairly accessible from nearby parking even though the private lot itself is quite small. This place is no Starbucks or hole-in-the wall coffee shop. It definitely has a younger, hip vibe, both in décor and menu items. It kind of reminded me of a Philz, for those who are familiar. When ordering, you choose your size, number of shots, any flavoring, as type of milk. Makes ordering very simple and easy! I went for the Masala Chai latte, which was just the right amount of spicy and sweet. The rest of my group went for a variety of drinks, most of which also had pretty positive reviews. Even the black coffee drinker had positive reviews and went back for a second cup! The only criticism was from my friend, who ordered the caramel vanilla latte, which she mentioned was just a little bit too sweet for her liking. Overall though, I thought this small little coffee shop had lots of personality and fun menu options. I would be back again if in the area!

Wow where do I even begin. Okay, straight up let me be honest. If you are a person of color, like me, don’t eat here. I am giving you my honest opinion based on my experience. I am sure there are better places to eat than this place. The food was below average and the service was even worse. We were the only customers of color in there and boy did they make us feel like it. Walked in here on a recommendation of a friend. The waitress looked annoyed at us as soon as we walked in, i kid you not. Her demeanor changed when she was talking my order and my friend’s order. I ordered a hot chocolate and a garden crêpe. When she asked for my name for the drink, I had to repeat it several times and she still got it wrong. I completely understand that my name is difficult to understand sometimes because I have this problem most places I go, but she looked so upset and frustrated with my name that she just put whatever by the end even though I repeated it for her as calmly and slowly as I could. So my name is now«Pyal». cool. She then took my friend’s order who asked if the burritos on the display were made in the café or were they from an outside vendor. Yeah, that made her look more annoyed. So my friend did end up ordering the burrito when she found out it was made in the café that morning and ordered a «traditional» espresso macchiato. She didn’t understand what the difference between traditional and starbucks version was and the cashier didn’t explain at all what the difference was. My friend’s name is Elizabeth and as the cashier/wasitress was jotting her name down for her drink order, I jokingly said«I should have just put my drink under your name, Elizabeth haha» and the waitress/cashier looked at us with a straight and annoyed face and bluntly said«yeah». I was sooooo offended, like excuse me??? I am a paying customer and just because I don’t have a common name doesn’t mean you cannot respect that. Anyway, we sat outside since there were no seats inside. I went and got my drink even though they never called it. I asked them if it was my drink and they asked, «did you ordered a hot chocolate? Then yeah» like I was stupid. I’m not even trying to exaggerate people. I am being dead serious, this is how I was being talked to. Well, whatever, my drink was cold anyway by the time I drank it so disappointing. Anyway, our food came out later and waiter was super nice and attentive. Idk if that has anything to do with him being a POC too but it was super refreshing since it was different than the service we had received thus far. My crêpe had very little filling and I don’t think it was cooked very much. The flavor was bland and I had to pour, POUR Cholula over it to make it decent. And my friend hated her espresso macchiato which was so bitter and was not palatable. She totally felt the same as I about this place and she would never come back due to the service. Her burrito was only so-so. Will I come here again? Hell no! Which I am sure they’d be happy about anyway because they honestly cannot cater to anyone outside of their ethnic background in any polite fashion. God they wouldn’t do well in the bay area with that kind of attitude. I am appalled. Appalled. So again, my POC peeps, I hope this was a one time thing but I can only warn you that this was my experience and because of it, I won’t be returning.

They offer soy, almond, and coconut milk options. They even made me a latte with a mix of almond and coconut milk. And it was a delicious latte! And it had a cute heart on top! I love it here.

What a great place. I had time to kill and walked around DT Truckee for a bit, looking for a good coffee and a bite to eat. I had my dog, so some sort of patio would be great. I found Coffeebar and was VERY happy. a bit of a line, but the coffee was great, the food was good, and plenty of room outside for the mutt.

Came here on a very very cold weekend day. And it was so busy. Busy in a good way where there was such an eclectic mix of people. Great Service, great coffee. I loved the wide variety of teas they offered. I look forward to going back during the week and trying some of the baked goods. The spaghetti used for the stirring sticks was really cool, never seen that before.

What a great spot. Amazing hot beverages right in the heart of DT Truckee. The Coffeebar is delightful and hipster all at the same time. With character busting at the seams and amazing drinks following right behind. I’ve been in a few times, but most recently over NYE weekend. The place was packed but they did a great job at letting us know the wait would be longer than normal. But, it was totally worth it. I had the hot chocolate and whipped cream — fantastic!

Best café in town! Best café for miles and miles! And they post lots of art work on walls, artwork in your cup, and the barista Jill is super cute! I just ordered a chai latte and the Milano sandwich. Great combination for a cold days lunch. Check out their extravagant tea menu. Lots of great choices! Love the atmosphere, the fact that they promote using for here cups. Spaghetti is used for stirring utensils And the messages on the to go cups are sweet.

Needed some caffeine when I did my pit stop in Historic Downtown Truckee, and I was glad that I found COFFEEBAR. It is one street away from the main street and located next to the«Historic Jail». Swing by the store and see if there is any available parking spot before looking for street parking(street parking are metered). Cozy coffee shop with a large selection of coffee, wine, baked goods and crepes. You get a free extra shot if you check in on Unilocal, and they have Happy Hour from 4−6pm. I was delighted at the fact that I got my Lavender Latte for $ 2. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend this coffeeshop to anyone stopping at the Historic Downtown Truckee District.

Just off Truckee’s main street, you can find this super trendy, SF looking coffee place. Now, I don’t usually go crazy for trendy places, but the very good thing about Coffeebar is their coffee. Their cappuccino is among the best I’ve ever had in Cali, and their coffee is rich and robust.
