I have not really had a formal acupuncture treatment before. I did have one once on my break at work over ten years ago, but it only lasted about ten minutes… It was good though and I felt relaxed after.
I have recently had a baby and had a bit of a traumatic experience birthing my baby which ultimately ended in a c-section… Since, I have been exhausted, over-worked and over-stressed.
After seeing Lauren today, I already feel as if a ton of toxins has been cleansed out of me. I can’t wait to see how I feel over the next couple days.
Her facility is very clean, beautiful and comfortable. Lauren is very professional and seems to have found her calling. I highly recommend giving her a try no matter what you have going on or for just general maintenance.

Lauren treated my wife and me this summer. I had a mild hamstring tear from softball (don’t rush to softball after rafting the Truckee River all day, cold hamstrings) and was familiar with the normal 2 – 3 week recovery period, however that evening I definitely noticed greater range in my walking strides, and maybe 4 – 5 more days after that I felt fully recovered. Other than pregnancy I don’t think my wife was bothered by anything particular, but she enjoyed it.
Additionally, the setting was very relaxing, as Lauren often works out of the Yoga Institute in Tahoe City, on Fridays I believe.

Lauren has treated me about 8 times now and is an amazing and effective practitioner. My lower back pain disappears after her treatments. She has extensive knowledge of oriental medicine. Her gentle technique is relaxing and refreshing– I always leave feeling calm and healthy.
