Rock Garden

Tried to return a couple tubes of caulk after only 3 weeks and they wouldn’t take them back. Owner said the price sticker had faded so he wouldn’t resell it. Ridiculous — product is unopened and in new condition.
My contractor found much cheaper prices in Reno anyway. Not worth supporting a local business that doesn’t give locals good service.

I loved this place! My wife and I bought a home in Kings Beach last summer and we needed to renovate so we went to The Rock Garden to get some new fireplace rock. We found some really cool fireplace rock… which looks great… but we were also amazed that we were able to find the granite counter tops we wanted AND we bought all our porcelain and travertine tiles from them too. We found this really cool porcelain flooring that looks like old barn wood and we put it on the floors in our bathrooms. I really love that! They had their driver, Glenn, bring us everything and he was above and beyond helpful. We found the whole staff to be really informative and helpful and I’d recommend this store to anyone who wants to upgrade their home. We still have some outside projects and we will definitely be going back to them to get our firepit, build a retaining wall, and put down flagstones for a pathway!

I called several places from Reno to Tahoe looking for a deal on 3/​8″ pea gravel delivered to my Truckee home. The Rock Garden came through. Great price, same day delivery, excellent customer service. The delivery guy skillfully maneuvered his truck down our narrow tree lined drive and dumped 12 tons in just the right spot. Top notch!

It was the best home improvement experience that we ever have. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. The guy delivered the material (It was in the last June and July, and I should have write down his name.) was so professional and highly skilled. He drove his three wheels all wheel-​drive peggysue and moved material through very tight space and uneven dirt surface. We were so amazed by his equipment and skills. He was extremely accommodated to where we need to place those materials.
We ordered a lot of material, and there was no mistakes in our orders. It was very easy to order over the phone. They all tried to help as much as they can to make suggestions on what and how much we should order.
We have owned our tahoe home over ten years now, and it has not been easy to find good contractors or companies for our vacation home in Tahoe. We feel really confident and comfortable with this company.

If you’ve done any masonry work around Lake Tahoe, you know about the Rock Garden. Stone and rock galore! I couldn’t decide over three styles of tile for my bathroom and they let me take a full sampling home to compare — very nice.
