True southern food. Delicious and reasonably priced.

The food is not worth what they charge. I used to love this place but to be charged $ 20 for two small hamburger patties, a side and two drinks is not worth it. Won’t be eating here again.

I was in Trussville for the weekend visiting friends and absolutely couldn’t wait to eat here. I use to be a regular about 2 years ago but moved towns. Having not eaten here in a year, I was ecstatic to go back. Unfortunately, that happiness turned to pure disappointment. One of my friends had the«special chicken» dish of the day and said it was dry and overcooked. My friend and I had the chicken & dressing… sadly it was bland and under seasoned. We all agreed that the vegetables had a «canned» taste to them despite being told they were fresh. We also had to constantly ask for refills from our waitress. The ONLY highlight was the desserts. I don’t know if there is new ownership but something is definitely different. Still hungry for some FRESH vegetables!

The food here is home styled cooking with fresh vegetables. We love it. It’s a great place to eat in or take out. And the deserts are to die for! Keep it up!

Spending my entire youth in Trussville alabama, I have always been disappointed to see the locally owned restaurants fail. Some cities around just exploded with corporate restaurants and citizens who don’t appreciate good food and supporting local business. Café on Main has been a thriving restaurant for several years in the heart of downtown Trussville. I returned today after several years to find a great meal. The hamburger steak was cooked well. The mac and cheese was perfectly prepared. They serve them best broccoli casserole I’ve had to date. Top it off with a tea and a Mexican cornbread. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. This meat and three is far superior to the others offered in Trussville(Joels and sherry’s) cya in a few more years. Thanks for the hospitality wyatt.
