The food is always good. The owner and staff need to make more of an effort to enthusiastically greet and service customers. We do eat here frequently. The new plastic white table cloths are NOT a positive addition to the ambiance Service is slow given the number of people they service. I do hope they make it

The food was excellent. I had the burger and was impressed by the whole experience — it was one of the best I’ve ever had. It helped that they had bread and butter pickles — they *totally* rocked! My wife loved her turkey and goat cheese sandwich. She substituted whole grain bread for the spinach wrap. We shared a cup of peach Chardonnay cold soup. That was truly tasty. The service was youthful and not nearly as good as the food. Since I didn’t want ice, I was served tepid lemonade and sprite mixture. And the tap water was as warm as bath water. Maybe run the tap for a while until it cooled, or put a few cubes in the water to melt and cool. On the second glass, I asked for some ice, but the waitress didn’t hear or ignored me. So another glass of bath water. The interior was pretty spartan: cheap tables and chairs and plain white plastic tablecloths. The front dining was nice looking, but it was sunny and hot today, and the front is is all concrete with no usable shade. So we sat inside.

First and last time at Huckleberry’s. Waited for forty-five minutes after placing orders and watched as multiple tables were served before us. No one seemed to really know what was going on or when we might get our food. Our waitress was split between indoor and outdoor tables and just wasn’t able to manage both. We had to request refills on drinks multiple times and couldn’t find her when we needed something. When food did start to arrive, there was a delay of 16 minutes between the delivery of the first dish and the last dish. The food was average and several dishes were not as described by either the menu or the waitress. I know that running a single-proprietor restaurant can be challenging but if you can’t manage the hours your operating, maybe you need to be open on a shorter schedule. Being cute and trendy does not offer an acceptable substitution for at least providing average customer service. There are plenty of other places in the Tryon area that you should try before risking a meal here.

Stopped in the other night which happened to be the first day of the new summer menu. This place is super cute and cozy, we had a sweet server who was attentive although they were busy. I ordered the fried green tomato app with the pimento cheese(delicious!) and the shrimp & grits which I thought were just okay. It may be a matter of personal taste but I prefer shrimp & grits with a smoky, spicy sauce over cheesy grits and this was really just a very creamy, mild, buttery sauce. Not BAD but not what I was expecting. My dining partner ordered the soup du jour(bacon & potato) and the falafel and tzatziki on a pita. They were both good according to him, I didn’t try any of it. I would go back but I wouldn’t order the shrimp again.

One of the best lunches you could ask for. Everything I’ve tried, I’ve enjoyed. Sitting outside on an cool summer evening at HuckleBerry’s is something special. The food is great, and the service is friendly. It can get a little slow when there’s a crowd.

Good food. Had shrimp for an appetizer and then the Huckberry Burger. Also got mozzarella balls on the house. Very nice of them. Party of 7 well taken care of.

I ate here on a Monday and only one server with three tables. The muscles for an app omg wonderful, the house salad was nice and light and cleared my pallet, the dressing was was balanced. The veal for the entry was lacking some seasoning added some salt and wonderful. While staying in Tryon is was referred to another restaurant that was closed, so I tried Huckleberry’s. 100% I would go back and eat again, 200% for the muscles.

I love this location in Tryon and the outdoor seating, but the owners aren’t doing the location justice. The service was slow and that is definitely not a $ 10 burger.

Yummy and cute place. Had a shrimp Caesar salad that was a bit bland but once I got extra dressing it was yummy. Great rolls which are later turned into the croutons. Very quaint place with a BYOB policy which was cool.

Good service and very good food, the iced tea also very good. For lunch I had the quiche special with greens. Generous portions and very good. My wife had the fried green tomato grilled cheese panini, also very good and enough to take some home. We would definitely go back. One of few places we found for lunch. Also they welcome BYOB.

I stopped by to get a cup of coffee and decided to get a few sandwiches to go. Ordered the chicken panini and fried green tomato grilled cheese sandwich. DELICIOUS! The staff was nice and very accommodating.

Move on to another restaurant if you seek good food and good service. We rated them 2 out of 7: the iced tea was good and the décor is comfortable– the appetizer, salad, bread, entrée was edible but barely(unusually bitter in flavor). The server continually complained how tired she was. Not a good experience. I hope this helps!!!
