Captain’s Barber Shop

I have had my hair cut twice by Kirk and will continue to use him for all haircuts. Great haircut, very nice guy with a fun personality. And the price is very fair.

So I finally found a barbershop in Tualatin I only wish I would have found it sooner Kirk is the real deal great cuts good prices

Hands down best haircut I have ever had. Kirk can do a perfect military cut. Awesome atmosphere great place to chat. Won’t go any where else. Grab a cold one while you wait.

Extremely happy with Kirk at Captains Barbershop. Super nice, very engaging and talkative, very reasonably priced, and best of all he’s very very good at cutting hair. And the best part was this, it was only my 2^nd time here and it was like 5 or 6 weeks since I’ve been here, but not only did he remember me but remembered how I wanted my hair cut. Highly recommend!

My husband loves coming here. Kirk always does an amazing job on his hair. I sat and watched one time, you can tell right away that Kirk knows his stuff! It’s set up like an old classic barbershop. He does a bunch of extras like a hot towel, even offered my hubby a drink the last time. Just an all around good guy and great haircut. Don’t send your hubby anywhere else!

I just moved up here from the San Francisco Bay Area and have spent the last month trying to find a reasonable Barber who can cut hair in the area. After having gone to the same Barber since I was 8 I was filled with anxiety at the thought of having someone else touching my hair. I tried the local Sports Clips and regretted it almost immediately. The woman had no idea what she was doing and ended up nearly destroying my hair. I looked through Unilocal but nothing was really helping. Then I remembered a place next door to the place we took our dogs named Captain’s. I thought I’d give it a try.
I instantly fell in love with the décor. It is set up like an old school barber shop which I loved.
Kirk instantly makes you feel welcome and comfortable. He asked what I wanted and knew what to do. At the end of the cut he even put a hot towel on my head. Curious about this I asked why he does this. He said that it simulates the shower you take after you leave the barber shop. So he can see what it will look like before I go home and feel disappointed that my haircut doesn’t look the same the next day. Brilliant! This is an old school trick that even my old barber didn’t do.
Overall the experience was great. Not thrilled to be paying a bit more for a haircut ($ 17 is a bit steep) but it’s an easier pill to swallow when I know the guy cutting my hair isn’t going to make me look like a fool. Plus I love supporting small businesses. Kirk even got the back of my neck with a straight razor and offered to trip up my eyebrows.
Pure class. Only one chair so you may wait a while but worth the wait and effort.
