Quality sub, a higher price point than Subway, but much better quality. Meats are all warmed individually. Fire hats for all the kids. Kids subs are good sized — my kids all had meatball subs and they came out with toasted mozzarella on top. Fun selection of hot sauces. Friendly service, too!

Firehouse Subs is ok. Stay away from the salads in my opinion. I wish they were made with real greens with some actual nutrients, but it’s your typical fast food iceberg lettuce salad. Really wanted the salads to be good here, but I tried two different ones and I was not impressed. It seems though the best and most delicious items on the menu, are the most unhealthy. This makes sense I guess; I just had higher expectations of their ‘healthy’ options. This is a place for a hangover &/or laziness. Their meatball sub was pretty good, and so was their Italian sub, but their bread is nothing special, and I was left with the feeling of «it will do» multiple times after leaving. Bonus points however for having a drive through, although it can take awhile if there is more than one car. I say go for a hot sub and don’t be on a diet, but that is my humble opinion. I hope they step up their salad game.

Wow what a sandwich! This Firehouse sub place kicks the crap out of any Subway or lameo Quiznos sub. My next favorite for cheap, fast subs is Jimmy John’s but even they suck compared to Firehouse. This location always turns out a great product too, I will definitely be back here as often as possible.

I was to hungry to take a picture to share and after one bite I knew I wouldn’t be setting this sandwich down. I had the Italian on white bread, right away I could tell I was in for something good. The sub was picture perfect, all the toppings were portioned perfect and I really enjoyed how thinly sliced the ham was. All the staff was super friendly and seemed happy to be there, clean spacious dinning. Everything was perfect and I look forward to coming back! If you are tired of flavorless sandwiches from the usual places check this place out!

They have so many good subs to chose from here! Hard to go with the same one like I normally do at the other sub shops! I’ve gotten most of the subs on the menu now, and they will add different meats to any sub if asked. While yes, I am a Pepsi drinker– they have the Freestyle Coke machine at all Firehouse subs, and surprised it hasn’t been said so far, yes it was started by a Fireman! So, I would highly recommend going right pass Subway, and go straight here whenever there is a Firehouse Subs in town! They put a lot more meat on their subs then Subway does!

Had the brisket sandwich; meat and sauce on a bun. The BBQ sauce was SUPER sweet. Like a BBQ flavor meat and sugar sandwich. The following day was pretty brutal too.

This is my favorite hot sandwich place!!! I love the Philly cheesesteak with their sweet chili sauce. Don’t be shy! You gotta try the array of sweet/tangy sauces that’s located in the pick up area.

I came in not sure what to expect. The building is extremely smoky, which I suppose adds to the atmosphere of it being a firehouse, but if nothing else just annoyed me. What was even more annoying was the«welcome to firehouse» that the employees would shout out when anybody enter the room. I don’t know if it annoyed me, or them more as it was very lackluster. While I felt the food was very overpriced at $ 10 for a combo, it was very good. The Italian was good and seems to be packed full of meat. I like the hot sauce counter and their proprietary sauce is very good as well. I could see myself coming back for to-go food, but I don’t think I’ll dine-in again.

This place is great! I believe this is a newer chain to the area and it really doesn’t compare to Subway or other local joints! The size was a little smaller than I was hoping however the the bread fresh, the meat super tender and the sauces were outstanding! It does take a little time to process the order but it’s worth a stop in so you can munch on some goodness! Welcome to the west side!

Came in today to try for my first time. I ordered the Italian sub large, which was equivalent to lunch and a leftover dinner for later). The Mr. Ordered the club. The ladies were very nice and very attentive. Not much small talk. Waited about 10 minutes and we were out the door. Our tab came to over $ 20 with just two of us and him not getting a meal. I thought it was a little pricey. My sandwich did come with quite a bit of meat so I guess I can’t complain. Will definitely return. Word of advice, the drive thru is for wendys, not firehouse. We thought since it was next to fire house… guess not! :)

This shop is relatively new and I’d not been a customer before, but I concluded purchases at nearby Cabela’s and stepped in for lunch. My timing was favorable; there were two other customers whose orders had already been processed and they were at the register. Two employees were engaged in conversation regarding developments in the personal life of the younger of the two, and I waited to be acknowledged or greeted. Moments ticked by… no eye contact, no smile, no apology for the delay. At some point, this becomes a game. Eye contact with one employee, who was unwilling to interrupt her coworker’s conversation about moving to new quarters. After five(5) minutes without acknowledgement, which is my limit, I stepped out and crossed the road to Jersey Mike’s. I can”t give you a review of the food but my impression of this Firehouse Subs is the employees are poorly supervised and/or trained. This is a competitive business; there’s a Subway not far away, a Jersey Mike’s and Jack-in-the-Box even closer. There is little latitude for a poor work ethic. The employees in question were young; this may be their first job. Unfortunately, there’s a business owner whose efforts are poorly represented. I don’t reward poor professionalism or lackluster service with support. For other reviewers who’ve met with better service, I’m sure their continued patronage as customers will more than compensate for my reluctance to return.

Went here for the first time yesterday. I ordered the Firehouse Chopped Salad with grilled chicken and loved it! The employees are so friendly! Definitely recommend!

For a chain sandwich shop, they did a great job of incorporating little bits of Tualatin(look for the crawfish and the pumpkin regatta as well as Mt. Hood) in the mural on the wall. When Firehouse Subs opened in Nyberg Rivers earlier this year, my boys were eager to try it. One in particular loves meatball subs, which is one of their specialties. We typically frequent Subway, so I was curious how they would compare in his eyes. And he says it is a draw. At Firehouse, their subs come in two sizes(medium and foot-long) and like Goldilocks and The Three Bears, one size seems too big and the other too small for my teenager on any given day. We always feel like we order incorrectly. I’m usually happy with one of the ‘Under 500′ subs on a smaller bun. I love chicken salad in general, but when I order the Momma’s Homemade Chicken Salad, I’ve been disappointed. It is a bit bland for my taste. I’ve been happier with the Hook & Ladder Light and the Turkey & Cranberry. My son loves the Freestyle Coke machine and so do I when we visit on a quiet day. Otherwise, I agree with the other reviewers who note it can cause a hold-up around the order line when people are stuck looking at all the choices. Also, our experience is that food takes longer to arrive and the prices are higher than Subway, which is my direct comparison. Two things I especially like about their system is they ask when you are ordering if you want a pickle on the side. If you have a kid(or an adult for that matter) who hates pickles, you’ll know it is nice not to have that little surprise when your food arrives. Also, it is a great(and easy) donation to just round up your tab to donate to their foundation( ). The interior is cute as a button with the fireman theme and Dalmatian table tops. Staff has always been nice and usually do a group greeting when we enter. I am also amused by all their hot sauce options and their own brand of sauce for sale in a fire hydrant container. Their marketing department gets an A for effort.

It was okay — nothing super special, but not bad. It was just food. I will say, though, the layout of this place SUCKED. People standing in line waiting to place their orders were in the way of the people trying to get their sodas and were forced to stand between the tables of folks trying to eat. We picked a table far away so as not to have someone’s butt in our faces during lunch. That might be okay for dinner, but certainly not before 2 on a Sunday afternoon. ;o)

Subway who? Oh yeah, I used to date her, we went out forever and I was loyal to her, sure she tried some new things to keep me interested but it was just stuff the others were already doing. I wasn’t really looking for a new interest in my life but isn’t that always the way, when you stop looking that’s when you find the one. The Wife and I are into volunteering for public safety, I help the police, she helps the fire department, so when she found out about Firehouse Subs and the good they do in so many communities we decided to try it. We didn’t expect much just hoped for an edible meal. What we found was an amazing sub sandwich place with innovative recipes and steamed to perfection. My favorites are the Steamer and the Smokehouse, but I haven’t had a bad sandwich here yet. You get the typical assortment of chips and a drink, but the upside on the drinks is they the Freestyle Coke Machine which gives you exactly a bazillion and six flavor combinations which is good. Waiting for the people in front of you to choose is less good, the younger the person, the longer the wait. However, for these sandwiches and the customer service it is a small bump in a generally smooth road. One thing I ask of you, when the cashier is getting to the climatic end of taking your money they will ask if you want to round up to the nearest dollar to donate to their grant program. This allows Firehouse Subs to bestow equipment to departments in need as well as education. It is very important work, check the good they do on their web page. Good food, great people and a noble cause, it is a mighty powerful trifecta.

My preamble first: In my heart, Quizno’s will always be my favorite chain sub shop. Unfortunately for me, Quizno’s are few and far between anymore. When Jersey Mike’s came into Tualatin, I was pretty happy after trying it and remained loyal to them, so I was a little apprehensive about trying out a new place. Luckily for me, I found another good sub shop and with it, a different menu that doesn’t really have too much cross over with Jersey Mikes. With all that said, I was pretty happy with Firehouse. Local owners which is always a bonus, solid customer service and I haven’t had to deal with any crazy lines. I suspect that they use a lot of the same meats that Quizno’s used which is a big bonus in my book. Prices are pretty reasonable, and the sandwiches come out quick. I’d recommend the Smokehouse Brisket or the New York Steamer. I’ve also had the Steak and Cheese, which wasn’t as good as the other two.

Gave this new sub shop a try the other day. It’s a small shop, and it was pretty crowded on the weekend lunchtime we visited. It’s not entirely clear what the ordering process is — there were lots of people milling around inside the front door, but the order register is at the far end… I think they were waiting for take out or a table. Anyway, we ordered(wish they had some printed menus to look at, rather than the board above/behind the counter). I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch on wheat bread. It came served warm and was pretty tasty. Not a lot of bacon but the flavors were pretty good. The guys both had the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. They ate it, liked it, but didn’t love it. The pickles are dill but are that weird bright yellowish green that usually signifies canned sweet pickles. The drink machine is one of those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Lots of choices, but because there are so many choices it takes f’in forever for people to make up their minds and get their drinks. They would do well to have a separate fountain for water. The drink line was pretty crazy. I thought there was a drive-thru for this place since it’s right next to the front door of Firehouse Subs, but it’s actually for the Wendy’s that shares the building. Not sure we’ll be going here all the time, since there are already a bunch of sub shops within a ¼ mile. Plus, parking at this center is insane.
