Booked Christmas Eve Dinner at the Olde Stone Mill. Only reservation we were offered was 4pm which we took. I had called ahead to request if we could get something vegetarian for my daughter and were told no problem. The Christmas Eve Menu was prix-fixed at $ 45 pp, so for her it wouldn’t make any sense to partake in that but I figured I called ahead and as long as she could have a pasta and a salad, we would be fine. We were the only people in the restaurant for over an hour, so clearly there was no mad rush happening in the kitchen. When I asked about the vegetarian dish for my daughter, the server came back to say that teh Chef would not accomodate her. The most ridiculous part of this was that on the prix-fix menu there was a pasta with no meat as an appetizer, so clearly they had it available. But… they flat out refused offering to make her grilled vegetables. I ordered the Chicken Martini which came out luke-warm and total rubber. My daughter’s vegetables were not edible at all and cost $ 24.00! This restaurant has a lot of history and incredible potential, but to be so rigid when we were the only ones in the place and clearly seeing it created tension with my daughter and I because I had told her I checked this out totally ruined what should have been a great holiday experience. Would not recommend.

Recently attended a small party of twenty on a Sunday afternoon and was very satisfied with all this restaurant had to offer. Super bloody mary cocktail to start! Followed by green salad and delicious red sauce pasta and many choices for entrée. Decided on London broil which was tender and very tasty. Chicken dish, pork chop and salmon looked perfectly cooked. Staff was very friendly, courteous and very attentive all afternoon. Nice ambiance! Was a little apprehensive since reviews were not good however reviews were proved wrong and I would highly recommend this restaurant !!

Sadly this is an adorable venue with so much potential, but the food completely lacked flavor. Added salt to a pasta dish? Yes, that bad. I had high hopes going in, but left with ny dinner in a doggy bag, only to not have seen it go in the trash… now its sitting in my fridge, ultimately it will find its way to the incinerator, uneaten. Guess if Gordon Ramsey can’t save you, nothing will.

We had our wedding there yesterday. We were thrilled with how well, the Restaurant and their staff went above and beyond to give us a great day. Everything from the setting, to the service gave us exactly the intimate mix we were looking for when originally started planning our wedding. We are still blissfully reminiscing over the day, as we should be. We keep getting rave reviews and pics sent to us displaying the food. Our families were extremely pleased with the Olde Stone Mill.

Really cool location. But nearly everything we ordered was subpar. Penne was not bad. This place is on its last legs.

Great gem in lower Westchester. The food is very good. The entertainment is wonderful. Try the baked claims. Or the fish and steak. The veal chops are outstanding! Any pasta dish is like being home. The deserts are fresh and good. The owner Lou and his wife are fabulous. After dinner sit outside and enjoy a cappuccino. You will be back!

We went here because I received a coupon for $ 20 off 2 dinner entrees with no minimum purchase amount required in a junk mail flyer. I was apprehensive about going because of the mainly negative reviews and was wary about the generous offer. When we arrived, there was only valet parking and the valet looked really confused as to why we wanted valet parking. When we got inside, the valet gave me the car key back and said he was only hired to handle a private party but he parked my car for me anyway. When we were seated, I was greeted by an ant on the table. YUMMY! Between the valet that was like a deer in headlights and the ant, I was regretting coming here. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. We both had the shrimp romano but was disappointed over receiving only 7 shrimp and the dish did not have a vegetable. However, the food did taste good. We had the almond cake and chocolate cake for dessert and both were nice. Overall, It was a rocky start but an okay finish.

Ok first of all the appetizer of spadini is not a grilled mozzarella sandwich. Very disappointed in that. The white truffle chips where good. I had the brink oven chicken that was good. My wife’s salad with salmon was dry. Overall it was a expensive night that I don’t mind if the food was good but for average at best not worth it. I would pass on this place my two cents.

2−14−15 Had a fabulous dinner at the classic Olde Stone Mill in Tuckahoe, NY. When we entered this lovely restaurant each lady received a red rose. We were served cocktails and enjoyed a delicious mesculun salad. Then we feasted on filet mignon cooked to perfection. We finished with cappuccino and dessert. This was a beautiful, memorable evening with magical ambiance. Highly recommend. Five star rating. Excellent. Susan R. * I have just read some of the reviews posted from last year. I just cannot believe some of the cruel, uncalled for comments I just read. Today is 3−7−15 and we just had dinner. My dinner was a wonderful pignolli encrusted salmon, cauliflower purée and asparagus. OUTSTANDING. My husband again had the filet mignon and again perfectly cooked. The service was OUTSTANDING. I am having a difficult time trying to understand the silly, petty comments I have read. Guess there are a lot of mean people out there who can NEVER be pleased.

Delicious food. Amazing ambiance. Have been here on several occasions and each time the food and service has been consistently good. I especially enjoy the Sunday brunches located on the patio.

Dead average — that’s my take after co-hosting a baby shower here last week. The room was beautiful once it was set up for the party, and we had plenty of space for guests to circulate, which was nice. However, despite numerous phone calls in the days leading up to the event to finalize the head count and outline how the room should be set up, we arrived to a completely unprepared space. An hour before guests were set to arrive, absolutely nothing was ready — extra tables and chairs were jumbled in the room; we did not have the required gift or cake tables; table linens were dirty, and we were told the restaurant did not have replacements for them; the fireplace that was supposed to be emanating a cozy warmth was not lit. The staff did get everything in order(except for the fireplace), but we should not have had to endure that last-minute hustle. That is a reflection of disorganization, either on the part of the private dining manager, who did not share her notes about how the event was to be handled, or on a staff who did not listen. I have had better food at the neighborhood bar. The first-course fruit cup consisted of unripe melon. The bellini had an infinitesimal amount of champagne. The pasta primavera was heavy on the oil and light on the veggies. One of our entrée options — the steak and brie sandwich on Tuscan bread — consisted of a slab of steak on a kaiser roll. The coffee was tepid at best. The cookies served with dessert were phenomenal, but I later learned they were made off-site. The hallways and entryway could have used a good cleaning to rid the restaurant of a thick layer of dust and leaves that were dragged in from outside. And while it’s a nice touch to offer valet services, it would give off a more professional vibe if the valet lost the baggy jeans and pompom-topped winter hat. If we had to do it again, we would host our event elsewhere. It was still a special day, thanks to the people in attendance, and the excitement for the baby-to-be, but the food and venue did not rise to the level of what we expected for a special event. Final verdict: Perhaps Gordon Ramsay should return.

I’ve visited twice for Sunday brunch and had great service both times. The server was attentive to the point where he noticed my coffee wasn’t hot and brought me a fresh cup. To reiterate, great service! The Eggs Benedict was sublime and everyone in my family of four had a good experience. The outside of the building is absolutely breathtaking and the décor is inviting. I haven’t had dinner at the restaurant yet.

Upon walking up to this restaurant I had high hopes for a good lunch. The restaurant looked like it would be a nice place to go to dine alfresco when the weather warmed up. Even as we passed the Atrium room, I thought how nice it would be to dine there. Once we were seated in the main dining room though, my thoughts began to change. From the very beginning, even with three other filled tables, it was so quiet in the place that we felt as if we were in a funeral home. Everyone in the place could hear my conversation with my friend even though there was background music playing and we were practically whispering. Although this place is considered a historic landmark, the place looked as if antiques(including 7 different old clocks) were just thrown in. There were strange holes in the walls, the ceiling had cracks in it, and the fire extinguisher signs and alarms stood out from the rest of the décor. We ordered from the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week menu which was very limited. We were also given their regular lunch menu which was also kind of limited. Mostly chicken dishes or pasta. We were also given I had to ask for the wine list, which, when I received it, found out it was extensive and on the pricey side. I asked for the house Pinot Grigio, which was nothing special. The first course(appetizers) consisted of only a choice of 3 types of green salads or 2 soups. The main course(entrée) offered your standard fare, including 4 chicken dishes. My friend had the mixed green salad. Nothing special. I had the ‘salad special’ which was basically oily arugula mixed with red peppers sitting on top of a under ripened chunk of watermelon with 2 halves of breadsticks sticking out. For the main course we both ordered the marinated sliced flank steak. She ordered hers medium well and I ordered my medium rare. Both dishes came out the same way, several slices medium rare and several medium, mixed together on each plate. Worst cut of flank steak I ever had. Very fatty. Had to cut through all the fat just to get some pieces of meat. It came with some sliced squash, overcooked, and 2 pieces of roasted? wedges of potatoes. When our meal was over, the waiter asked if we wanted any coffee or tea, without even offering us any dessert. We had to ask what they had for dessert. The restaurant week menu only offered one dessert, red velvet cake. It tasted like it was either made from a box or purchased from a supermarket, very little flavor. Although the waiter was polite, he hardly came by to see if we needed anything, including a refill of water. He was quick with the check though, giving it to us as soon as we received out slice of dessert and my cup of tea. Unfortunately, I found out after the fact that, although the restaurant was shown on Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen nightmares, it had since changed ownership. Just another place to check off my list of restaurants I’d NEVER come back to again.

Visited for a Sunday brunch party. No complaints were heard about the limited menu offered. I selected the«Salmon Dijon» which was fine although the Pasta Primavera starter was a bit too oily. Service was polite and attentive — no issues there — and the Atrium Room was white /bright and comfortable for the 40 or so guests.

Was here on Friday night. We went to see a friend sing Sinatra songs. He was fantastic. The place is beautiful but the food is not great. They are very unorganized not enough staff for the amount of tables. On our way out, we noticed that one of the owners was repremanding an employee. This place needs a lot of help in organizing their restaurant. We asked for a separate check and it could not be given to us. We waited a long time to be served. We had to ask for our drinks 3 times. Price of food was high and the presentation was not. Not worth the money This place needs Gordon Ramsey

I just returned home from a Santa breakfast and I am compelled to write a review just so no one else wastes their hard earned money in the hopes of dining with Santa next year. Avoid this place at all costs if you are looking to have an enjoyable brunch in any capacity with your children or grandchildren. Of course we expected the noise level to be high. But a glass enclosed, tiled atrium brimming with screaming kids? Yes. Once seated… our extremely gruff waiter demanded our order or else ! The menu was ridiculous… a steak sandwich or a waffle etc. no beverages included except coffee or tea. no juice. For $ 29.95. We begged all day for coffee once the waiter disappeared. The food was absolute terrible. My wife has been on the bowl since we got home. The hostess was nice.

Okay, so we were in a party of about 50 people. I have the expectation that there won’t be as much«individual» attention to my food as usual, so my expectations were lowered somewhat, but I was part of the«payers» so knowing how much we were paying for each attendee, I wanted to make sure the food we were getting was at least decent. I was disappointed. We had watched«Kitchen Nightmares» with Gordon Ramsay, and having watched this restaurant get ripped up verbally, and then reconstructed literally, I was hopeful that good ol’ Gordon’s influence had stayed around. Since then the restaurant has changed ownership, and looks like some old habits came back into play. Episode isn’t available at Fox, but here’s the recap Bartender was professional, very good, prepared a couple of drinks for my wife and I quickly and professionally. They have a good selection. There was music being played, with some occasional singing. That was okay, but I enjoyed when he was not playing as the restaurant was quite loud. Anyway, started with Fried Calamari with Marinara, which I actually enjoyed, and mussels. My wife had that one, and she said«not good.» Then next was a mixed greens salad. Simple, with a balsamic vinaigrette, and it was fine, benign. Kind of hard to mess up a fresh salad. We were given four choices. Boneless New York Strip Steak, Veal Sorrentino(Eggplant, Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Vegetable and Potato, Burgundy Wine Sauce). Grilled Porterhouse Pork Chop, Chicken Martini(Parmigiana Crusted with lemon, butter & white wine, vegetables & potatoes). I can only comment to the steak and veal. My son said the steak was okay – prepared as directed«medium» and was good. Again, a little hard to mess up unless cooked wrong. The veal was almost undetectable. Mostly, it was sauce and cheese. My wife, however, found an extra ingredient not on the menu – a hair mixed into the cheese which she pulled out of her mouth. Not her hair. This was brought to the waiter’s attention quickly, and my wife was unable to eat further. Not only because she was nauseous, but also because the waiter never offered a replacement plate, offered another meal, and the manager never came to speak to us. Service to our table was abysmal. The manager or owner sat outside smoking a cigar and chatted with patrons, and the cigar smoke made its way into our very crowded restaurant, making the already hot air in there stifling. Thankfully, they are adding an atrium, and this should add some needed space. But with subpar food, poor service, and poor damage control, perhaps Gordon Ramsay needs to consider coming back to this Kitchen Nightmare.
