I love this place. But if anyone can help me find Morena, I would be super happy!

Solid Dominican blow-out for $ 25! Despite some people’s objections to Dominican blow-outs, done correctly they work much better for my thin hair than flat irons by giving my hair bounce without split ends or damage. This place was five rated for years IMO. Back in about 2005/2006, the«Dominician All Stars» left Lilly’s Hair plus on Jimmy Carter. Lilly’s is a much larger salon, but when you lose Lucci, Sandra, Vanessa, Okelia and Rosa(aka the Domincian All Stars) and they work together in this salon for a solid 7 years — that made this THEBEST Domincan blow-out spot south of DC. But times have changed and now Lucci is the only All Star that remains in this small hole in the wall Dominican shop. Unfortunately I lost track of Sandra and the rest of the All Stars, but Lucci gets me in and out for $ 25 with natural hair(bring your own conditioner). The shop is bare bones, but for $ 25 I don’t care. Note: this is one of the few Dominican shops that don’t use flat irons but will make your hair look like it’s been«silk pressed» or give you spirals. These All Stars are also magicians! Finally — if anyone knows where I can find Sandra, Vanessa or Morena, please let me know!!!

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here since I was 13 years old(I’m 23 now). They give amazing blowouts and promote healthy hair whether you’re relaxed, natural, or wear a sew-in. Everyone does a great job but I would suggest asking for Lucci. She’s been doing my hair for years. I only go to her.

They have a nasty roach infestation. Like seriously, there are roaches crawling around by the sinks where you get your hair washed. Many people have bad attitudes, specifically a one Rosa, who gave me a complimentary shower while washing my hair. I left with my entire shirt and top of my jeans WET. Between my free shower and the roaches, I ran out of there and never went back. Stanky attitude, I can deal with bc their cheap, but too cheap to hire an exterminator and then give me a shower… eeeeek!

Attention all EX-New Yorkers(and those into hair that bounces about) ! Your search for a good Dominican Hair salon is over. Forma and Style is it! For those not in the know: there’s a place where the hair fairies reside and it’s call the Dominican Republic. Because of their beautifully mixed heritage, they have a special skill of being able to do ANYANDALL hair textures, beautifully. If you’ve never been to a Dominican stylist let me tell you try it. If you’re sick of your regular stylist charging you EXTRA to straighten your NATURAL hair, then try a stylists who will LOVE your natural hair and will not insult you by charging EXTRA to do her JOB by styling it… but I digress. If you’re like me, you were probably shocked by the number of GA style Dominicans who actually have the audacity to bust out a FLAT or curling IRON, after rolling, and blowing your hair! HUH? For those who don’t know, that’s the sign of a person who DOESNOTKNOWWHATTHEYAREDOING. A real Dominican stylist typically has to LOOK for her curling iron and definitely will have to turn it on, because the brush is ALLTHEYEVERNEED. I’ve tried out a few and I have to say that Forma And Style is DEFINITELY the best in Atlanta. They get you in and out, you can go FOREVER without needing a relaxer, because these women can work the heckity heck out of roundbrush. In fact, when I was growing a perm out(over an 11 month period) no one was the wiser because it was still bouncing and behaving thanks to magical dominican fingers. I’ve gone to Vanessa and Okelia but the others seem pretty good as well. Two downsides: Close crazy early on Sundays,(but hey in a pinch, at least they’re open) and they are cash only… however there’s an ATM next door. You won’t be sorry, they’re great. If this is too far, check out the Dominican stylist database at or to find one near you. Expect to pay $ 25 for a wash, set, blow. And yes they work with weaves too, like it’s sprouting out of your scalp!
