For the past 3 years, I’ve managed a large charity golf tournament at Heritage Golf Links. Pros: This location has a great venue, professional course, tons of carts, 27 holes and can accommodate a ton of golfers for a tournament. Their pricing is reasonable and they host a number of tournaments each year, which makes planning a breeze. Catering options include boxed lunches, buffet, snack/beverage cart. Cons: management turns over frequently(although this seems somewhat standard in the golfing industry), so you need to be on top of all your details.

Horrible management. We teed off 15 minute late. Ranger wouldn’t force groups to let us play through. After an hour and 20 minutes we made it through 4 holes. I won’t be back. Not worth it.

Was a member here. Did not get the opportunity to play for a few months. Was told they would not honor the rounds of golf I had paid for. Met with GM Adam to discuss. He refused to let me use the rounds I had paid for. What a sleazeball. Stay FAR away from this place. They are absolutely dishonest.

Greens were punched recently, wasn’t aware that they were. Tradition was not as green but the putting greens were not punched.

Great piece of land and really fun lay out. Just is not maintained like it should be! Greens and tees are rough. Staff is friendly and acommodating. Golf is cheap and the driving range is really nice. Lunch was great! The food was 5 stars for sure. We were not drinking but the bar looked awesome. This place has great potential.

Would you like someone to steal your hard earned cash? Well folks this is the place to go. Lessons were purchased for me and valid for a year. This was paid to Heritage. After one of the instructors left to move to California I was told that Heritage would not honor the rest of my lessons because they had already paid the instructor. The instructor was a Heritage employee! After the manager(Adam) ignored my calls and messages 4 times I finally got in touch with him only to tell me that he would not honor the remaining lessons. Talk about scum bags… There are plenty of other public courses that take care of their customers. I’d recommend choosing another course to play.

This place has great prices and is a somewhat challenging course with all of the hills. Tee boxes and greens definitely in need of some repair, but overall a great value. Food at the grill is piss poor but the beer is cold and your tee times always come with 2 free beers. If me and my friends are ever looking for a cheap last minute tee time at a decent location this is the place to go.

Went here for a golf outing and the course itself is beautiful! Certainly a good challenge on a nice day. However, it was not a nice day… started out raining and windy and finished cold(46 degrees) and windy. Lots of elevation changes and tough greens but I would love to come back here again when the weather was more cooperative.

As much as I’d like to give this course a fourth star, I just can’t. The first time I played this course, I only got to play 3 holes due to rain and the golf shop person charged me for those three holes and gave a rain check. I was shocked he didn’t just give me a full rain check. My second time was yesterday(Jan 27, 2014), and still had a poor experience. The front nine was on the Tradition course, which was great. I was really enjoying myself until I got to the Legacy course. That’s when my experience dwindled. When we got to the second tee box, we had to wait for two extra groups to play first, which continued like that for half the round. I no longer care to play at this course due to my last two experiences.

I’ve had one experience here, and let me preface by saying that I really like this course. It was in great shape, the greens are extremely challenging, and the terrain lends to some picturesque views. I really hope to get back and play it again because it’s beautiful, it’s reasonably priced, and they have what appears to be a really solid membership deal(which I will likely take advantage of if I move here full time next year). However, we knew we were in for a long day when, on Father’s Day, as a twosome, we approached the first tee behind another twosome, and the starter did not even mention pairing us up with the group in front of us(or the twosome behind us). That sort of hands-off approach would define our experience. The twosome in front of us played extremely slowly, but somehow still found an opportunity to play through the foursome in front of them. We spent the rest of the day hoping for an opportunity to play through, but never found one. The foursome in front of us was so painfully slow it took all my self-restraint to keep from yelling at them to hurry up. At one point it appeared swing lessons were taking place in the fairway as we stood waiting, with another group waiting on the tee behind us. I realize everyone is entitled to a fun learning experience and I love places that facilitate new golfers getting excited about learning the game — just be mindful of the other golfers on the course, especially on such an obviously busy day. Somehow, shockingly, we still ended up logjammed after the turn as the rest of the round was stop-and-go with no opportunity to play through due to several groups backed up in front of us. I hope to get another chance to play this course — I think if the starter were to take care to use any sort of organized method to move things along, and if the rangers would pay attention to the pace, this course would be an awesome place to play. As it were, though, we played a 5.5 hour round and skipped the 18th hole because we were so frustrated.

Superbly maintained, scenic and challenging. People are really nice too. All in all, makes this one very enjoyable place for golfing. The course looks deceivingly small, but once you go past the 2nd tee, you’ll find out most of the land back there is all golf… They have a driving range in my opinion is one of the most well taken care of and beautiful. The grass is well taken care of, its lit up at nite, cheap buckets and you’ll feel like you’re teeing off rather than hitting balls at the range… Its fall now and its very scenic. I think I’ll just bring the wife here and get cart time and drive around… Its so so so… pretty. Awesome course.

Full Disclosure here: I am not a golfer, at least on a regular basis. More like a once a year player. But, I have had the opportunity to play a few different courses around Atlanta and found this one to be rather nice. The best part, it’s rather affordable, too. This place is hidden in Tucker and you would never expect to find a golf course in that area. Great find for sure! I went here for a trade tournament and got to venture around the course and facilities for a bit. Everything I saw was in good shape and looked nice. The course was taken care of the staff were friendly. Good carts, good drinks, good greens. I will come back for my once a year session…

This course has changed owners a few times within the past 15 years. It was once owned by Dr. J. But it wasn’t doing so well… I think they were trying to charge $ 100 to play the course. Now, the course is back looking and playing great. I’ve played here a few times in the past couple years in a few tournaments. The folks here seem nice, the course is fun to play and pretty challenging with a ton of hills. It costs $ 45 for weekday now. They also have a great lighted range on grass.

So me and a friend were driving around looking for public golf courses and somehow ended up in Tucker. We went to a few in Atlanta, but they didn’t seem to be patient with new golfers. I’m a newby and wanted a course where people wouldn’t snub their nose at me. The other places warned us we would get dirty looks. Heritage, however, was very friendly to beginners and said they accept everyone. There were hardly any golfers there on a Sunday afternoon because they just had a tournament, so we had the entire Legacy course to ourselves. You can’t beat that! They even gave us a discounted rate for 9 holes when we said it was our first time. The normal rate would be $ 40 a person for 9 holes, but they charged us $ 50 for the both of us including the cart. What a deal! The course and the clubhouse were beautiful, no small potatoes at all. We took our time and had a blast. I, however, would give my golf game only 1 star if I Unilocaled about it!
