Surprisingly good food. The portions are huge and the food is quality. We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, shrimp fried rice and Mongolian beef — all delicious and we’ll order again. The meal came with free crab rangoon and egg rolls. The egg rolls were great, the crab rangoon not so much. Wish they delivered but it’s good enough to become our go-to for takeout Chinese!

Decent price for the amount of food you get. Personally I prefer general tso with a greater kick to it than it had. Would go back but will definitely try a few other Chinese places to compare.

This is my «Go To» Chinese restaurant when I am in the area. The food is flavorful and reasonably priced. If you ask for something special the staff will make it for you. I appreciate the speedy, friendly service. There is always a middle ground when eating out, so, if something is not right, please just let them know and they will fix it for you, within reason.

Ordered the string beans, was surprised to have broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, mixed in. Came with a thick corn syrup paste as a «sauce». Dumplings had meat essence with textured soy protein for bulk. Chicken wings MUST have been harvested from pigeons, they were absolutely the smallest chicken wings I have ever seen. They also had the corn syrup paste with what might have been red paint flakes to appear as peppers. I really would rather ingest rat droppings than eat here again.

We had the mongolian beef, Moo Shu chicken, and steamed dumplings. Everything was good except for the dumplings. The dumplings had too much dough very thick.

I’m not a big fan of Chinese fast food but this is the place to go if you are craving it. Huge portions, great price, the people working there are all so nice, and it tastes good too!

Came here for the first time today and it was was good, I had the chicken chow mein. It wasn’t greasy and had a generous amount of chicken and vegetables, and for a small you get a lot of food I could barely finish it. The price is fair not too expensive at all. I would definitely visit this place again.

I hate to write a negative review but i have to be honest the food here was not tasty at all. It tasted really plain and not flavorful. The only thing that tasted decent was the wonton soup and that’s because you have to really suck to mess that up. Needless to say I will not be back here to get my Chinese food fix.

Stopped by for take-out on a Friday night at 6:30. I thought I might be in for a wait but I’d say it took around 10 minutes from ordering to walking out the door. There was a very steady stream of customers coming in, most of whom had called ahead. I didn’t because I didn’t have a menu so, I perused the menu and picked spring rolls(2)-$ 1.49, steamed dumplings(8)-$ 5.45 and Dragon & Phoenix– $ 8.95 for my entrée. At those prices I didn’t have my bar set too high. Boy was I wrong. The spring rolls were tasty and fresh out of the fryer so they were hot and flaky-crispy even after my drive home. The plastic packs of mustard to dip them in seemed hotter than some I’ve had before which I enjoyed. The steamed dumplings were huge and were the thick dough covered house-made style that used to be the norm at Chinese restaurants but seem to have been replaced by the thin dough covered small dumplings(that the filling falls out of when you dip them) that you can buy in a bag at the grocery store. What a great surprise. I love dumpling more than most other foods so this made me very happy. I portioned my egg rolls and dumplings so I could have them for another meal and to make sure I had room to enjoy some of my entrée. It was exactly what I wanted. Dragon and Phoenix is described as «Chicken & shrimp w. Chinese veg, broccoli, snow peas, water chestnuts, red carrot» and listed in red to indicate spicy. I had been debating between General Tso’s chicken, but I really wanted something healthier with lots of vegetables and GTs is usually just fried chicken in sauce with maybe a sprig of broccoli or bell pepper. I didn’t realize that the chicken in this dish was fried. It was basically two separate dishes. The chicken, in a sweet and tangy sauce, was on one side of the container, and the shrimp with a variety of mixed veggies occupied the other side. I got my «guilty pleasure» of the General Tso’s-like chicken and the healthy non-battered shrimp. The veggies were crisp. The snow peas were particularly good. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. My only regret(other than not trying Main Moon sooner) was I didn’t spend enough to get the freebies they offer once you reach a certain limit. My total was $ 17 even. Next time I know to add a soup or something to my order. $ 19 and up, they add 6 free crab rangoon or 2 egg rolls. If you hit $ 35 it goes up to 12 crab rangoon or 4 egg rolls. Someone I spoke to in a Facebook group raved about the crab rangoon so I’m going for that! I can’t wait to go back. I’d rate this business 5 stars if I’d gone more than once. I’ll revise this once I determine this high quality is consistent.

The best Chinese food in Metro-ATL. New York style open kitchen to-go. Love the boneless spare ribs and curry Singapore noodles. Call ahead and pick up in 15 minutes.

This place has some tasty dishes and a few things that weren’t as good. Some of the good is their fried rice and soups. The noodle dishes are also above average. I have eaten there 4 times and each time the food comes out quickly and it is temperature wise fresh and hot. Some of the things that didn’t work for me so much were the crab ragoons and the kung pao chicken or tofu. Those dishes felt very oily and there were vegetables in the dish not listed on the menu. The prices are great and they have fantastic lunch specials. It is good enough that I will go back at some point.

Honestly I was disappointed. After reading all these great Unilocal reviews I was expecting something great. I’m from the northeast and I’ve had NYC style, and this isn’t it. My food was horrible and I had to toss it.

Holy Tso! This place is like the Taco Bell of Chinese food… it’s hot, fast, cheap and you don’t want anyone to ever catch you in there. Like the other reviews have said, this is completely and without a doubt Americanized Chinese food, even their«Authentic» versions. Adding Chili pepper to a dish, authentic it does not make! This just isn’t my take on good Chinese, as one reviewer said it’s «hood» food. Positive: Veggies were fresh and crispy.

We have gotten take out from this place probably a dozen times over the past year after trying a few other Chinese takeout places in the area and being disappointed. Just to be clear, this is not authentic Chinese food, this is American Chinese Food, which is delicious in its own greasy, MSG-filled way(they claim no MSG, but I don’t care). When we want authentic Chinese food, we go somewhere else. The portions are huge, so 1 dinner sized entrée will supply at least 2 meals. You can see into the kitchen from the counter and it looks like a serious-industrial kitchen ready to pump out pounds of delicious General Tso’s chicken. I’m usually pleased with my order. Great place.

this is a chinese place that is easy on your wallet and has decent food. It’s not authentic chinese but i always get their combination dinner. entrée, chicken fried rice, and a side of your choice for under $ 7. It’s no P F CHANGS but price and food is well worth it. I go here often now and she slips me free eggrolls when I come eat here with my wife now. :) YAY! I love this place because its right down the st from where i live too

Ok, so it’s no authentic, make you change your name to Chang kind of Chinese food, but it’s pretty good! SO and I stopped by here a few weeks ago, craving some chinese but really turned off by the change of management and food quality by Golden Sun, we stopped by here. It’s a bare bones type of café, enough booths and tables for diners, but they really do more take out and delivery. SO had to try their Gen. Tso’s and I got their happy family. The food portions are huge for the price, and the veggies were excellently cooked, crisp with a slight crunch and very fresh! All the combos come with your choice of crab rangoon or eggroll. So said that his Gen. Tso’s chicken was very lightly breaded(big plus!!) and could have been spicier, but was pretty decent. I know that we will try this place again soon!

Calling all Ex Yankees that are dying because the Chinese food in ATL or «The South» «Doesn’t taste right?» wellll… go to Main Moon!!! The best MSG filled Bklyn-style«hood» Chinese food you’ll get in ATL. Authentic from China Chinese? Heck no! For that go to Buford Hwy, but this is definitely it’s own sub-genre of «Chinese» food. If you’re looking for the ignorant chicken wing pork fry rice, shrimp n broccoli, shrimp w lobster sauce, shrimp n garlic sauce, general tso, house special rice or subgum rice– THISISIT. This place could be uplifted and moved to Flatbush and fit right in. if you’re looking for THIS type of Chinese, Main Moon is IT. It does not dissapoint the unrefined non-China town NYC chinese palate. EL Cheapo– Combo plates come w Chicken Fried Rice and your choice of many options for $ 7 and that includes Wonton soup or Crab rangoon or Egg rolls. Generous portions and nice staff. I love this place and I’m sad that I’d never tried it earlier. Actually, my palate is sad, I’m sure my heart and blood pressure are glad I didn’t make it a staple in my diet.
