Lol… I have read other reviews of this place which have for the most part been negative. I’m a tough customer but a fair critic because I know what level of service I expect when I’m spending my money; anything other than my personal expectations of service expected is unacceptable and unconscionable and I don’t mind sharing my opinion, good or bad, about a service I have used so I find it ironic that I am the one rendering a positive review of this place, based on my personal experience. That said, I came across this place on GroupOn while looking for an inexpensive provider for a tie alignment. I live in the downtown Atlanta area so I was reluctant to make the 30 minute drive to Tucker but I got what I went for and they did a good job.

I love this place. Everyone is always so nice, & when they are fixing my car they give me the wifi password so I can do homework while I wait. Corey & Andy are super nice, & tell you exactly what’s wrong with your car. I took my car tire to 3 different car places because it was flat & had a nail in it. & they all just told me to buy a new tire from them. Once I took it to Andy he told me that we could easily plug the hole & then pump the tire. He didn’t even charge me. I’ve gotten oil changes, new brakes put in, & other work done too. I’ve been going to them for 2 years & I refuse to go anywhere else. Easy 5 stars!

I’ve been coming here for years, which doesn’t seem to mean much. The customer appreciation isn’t high, but the prices are. I will say that they’ve been able to fix all of my repairs in a timely manner. Both foreign and domestic. They also stand behind their work which is good. If you don’t have a reliable mechanic, then I would come here. I’ve gotton mechanical work done here only seeing as to the prices are too high for my blood.

I think the last place that I took my car, is the one that recommended Tucker Tire which is a few blocks away, because their mechanic was gone. I am really sorry that I took that advice. Long story… My car overheated after a job in Buckhead, I heard a thump, but actually made it home, however, car overheated and antifreeze was billowing out of the hood. I was told to take it to Tucker Tire. I did and really liked the manager at the time who seemed to shoot straight. Chris worked with me, but also told me the truth… Clearly the belts were blown and then replaced that day that I brought my poor car in. I paid $ 340 for the two belts that had gone. I drove out of the lot and toward my house when the car started revving and temp went up… I turned around and drove back. I told Chris that I didn’t even make it down the road a mile before it was overheating again!!! He brought the mechanic, Walter out to look at it as he was the one who had worked on it and tested it out, supposedly. He said I now needed a radiator. I was really angry and asked why he didn’t see this before they let me drive it out? He got angry and I told Chris that I didn’t want him working on my car anymore. Chris admitted that most of the mechanics there had been fired and rehired previously. Great! So, the radiator was replaced the next day and cost me another $ 300.
All worked fine for a few months and then the car overheated again in April. Took it back to TT as I felt it was their issue in the first place. I had to tow the car this time though for another $ 100 and when I got there, there was a new manager in town. Jason seemed nice enough but I told him of my issues and said that it was a radiator hose. I asked why that wouldn’t have been replaced when the radiator was put in, but he said that it wouldn’t have been. Now this cost me $ 127 that day and prayed that this was the last time that I would have to deal with them.
Cue June, working a job at Lake Lanier and BOOM… again the car loses power steering and overheats. I’m livid and of course have to call a tow company to take me over 30 miles home which cost me $ 150. Again thinking that this is their issue I take it back to TT. Wow, another manager. hmmm, 3^rd one in 6 months and none of the mechanics are any that I’ve seen previously. Gary, who says he has 37 years in the business, but can’t work on cars anymore, tells me that I have to leave it with him and will get back to me the next day. I find out that it is… guess. now the water pump. I tell him that this seems fishy to me and he tells me that none of it is related. Wow, the cooling system, not related, ok. So the pump is gone and the fan has stopped and the radiator is rattling around. I tell him it seems that the shoddy workmanship was the problem, but he tells me no. He says I owe him $ 275 and oh, I now need a thermostat as they can’t get it to stop overheating. This of course will be another $ 250. Now I’ve really had enough. I call a few other mechanics in the area who are recommended to me by Advance Auto Parts, who all tell me that they (TT) obviously doesn’t know what they are doing and haven’t bled the air out of the lines. So I walk my ass up there and demand my car so that I can take it next door to one of the other mechanics. Gary is clearly defensive and tells me that it’s parked further up another mile at their «sister store» and tells me that I should have called him as they have yet to put more antifreeze in the car. I tell him, I’m done and am going to get my car, damned the other mile I will have to walk. He makes me pay for the water pump and I walk some more. He drives, to meet me up there and give me the key as well as the water pump that they took out that I asked for.
I drive it to the mechanic that was next door as he said he would look at it. He does, and bleeds the line… Guess what? There was no overheating!!! So, bottom line, it cost me over $ 1200 to get my car running again from the first time when the belts blew in December. The mechanic next door to TT charged me nothing for doing what TT didn’t do and was going to charge me for yet another part that I supposedly needed and shouldn’t drive very far… OMG. The shop is owned by two Asians, one named Alan, who do nothing except let their American speaking managers and iffy mechanics run all over the customers. I made sure I was very vocal when I last picked up my car to make sure that everyone in the waiting area knew how shady this business was and is, and the owners, though walking through the room, ignored anything I said. RUN DON’T WALK. away from this place. I do recommend the place next door who seemed very knowledgeable.

For anything other than an emergency tire repair these guys don’t seem to be interested in providing reliable, honest service. Bad experience. Skip this one and take your car elsewhere.

I was in a pinch, my car was overheating and these guys were nearby. I paid $ 60 for a diagnostic that told me absolutely nothing. They lied about what they checked and wanted to charge a ridiculous sum to replace a fan that was not contributing to the problem at all. Even at the risk of destroying your car, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! You will get screwed if you bring your car here.
UPDATE: So after going to a reputable mechanic, not only did they find the real problem and fix it. They tested the fan and it worked flawlessly! GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!
