Zaxby’s

This place is nasty. I walked in there and it was old and cramped. This place is not clean and there is grime every where.

I have so much to say. First of all I stood in line waiting on my food for 15 mins., next they weren’t organized on the front line, third the floor needed a good mopping, fourth three people got there food before me, fifth this lady had ordered food to be picked up at noon they made her shakes first the list goes on and on. Shut this place down. I’m just saying.

I really enjoy Zaxby’s food. The Zaxby’s that I usually visit is very busy, a wait, and the customer service is not the best. That being said I don’t mind wait or dealing with subpar because the food is great. On Tuesday May 12, 2015 I went through the drive-​thru to pick up dinner. As I waited in the drive-​thru about ten minutes, I placed my order and paid. I ordered 1 Ranchero Zalad and 1 Fried Cobb Zalad. When the cashier gave me my receipt, time stamped 06:55pm, she informed me that I needed to pull to the front by the entrance because the chicken for my Zalads were not ready yet. I pulled to the front and waited 20 minutes! So I parked my car and walked in and told the employee that it’s been 20 minutes and no one has come out with my food yet. He took my receipt and went to the back. He returned about a minute or two. He offered me a refund or to wait for my order to be redone because my ticket was «lost». I decided to wait for my order again. He offered me a cookie or drink as I waited which I refused. Five minutes go by and my order was ready. When my order was bagged and given to me another employee gave me my Zalads and my original receipt. She offered me extra dressing which I refused took my order and left.
I have been in customer service jobs for the past 20 years. This experience tops as one of my worst ever. I am a very patient person and very understanding in customer service and food service. I am used to the subpar (crappy) customer service living in the south. Living down here everyone usually takes there time and I have gotten used to it. This experience is the worst. Not only did I not get an apology but no manager came out to say sorry. I am not one of those people that is looking for free stuff, I am the type that an apology goes a long way. There were four to five people working in the «kitchen» area and three people working the drive-​thru and front. This is the last time that I come to Zaxby’s

This particular Zaxby’s is definitely one of the worst, if not the worst in Atlanta. First of all.
1.Service
The service at this location was very disappointing. I wanted to order but the cashier rudely interrupted me and said «Wait».After a minute, I started ordering. We hearing my number, I am obviously ready to get my food. I come to find out it wasn’t ready and I had to wait another 10 min.
2.Sanitation
Unfortunately, this location a 73 out of 100 on their health inspection. They got points because of not putting their tomatoes in the correct refrigerator (They were not washed also).Of course, the management put out a apology note (aka Please dont leave I NEED MONEY letter)
Their bathrooms can not fit more than one person.
The food is the normal fried chicken of all Zaxby’s with its succulent flavor.
Overall, I will not recommend coming to this Zaxby’s.Because of the sanitation and service, I won’t be coming again.

If you want a restaurant where the customer is treated well, stay away from this location. I’ve frequented the Tucker store since it opened and while the food is good, the service is typically slow and at times, borderline rude.
I ordered a wings and things to go a couple weeks ago. I got home, opened it, and they had left out the chicken fingers. It wasn’t worth the time for me to head back to the store to get it fixed. So, the next time I tried the store, I ordered a wings and things and asked for a brownie (which costs them much less than the chicken fingers) to help make up for their error. Vince the manager said he could do nothing and I should have driven back to the store that night with the improperly prepared meal to get it fixed. I explained that it is not feasible to do that, but he just shrugged his shoulders, turned his back, and walked away. Well, congrats Zaxby’s. Your store is now dead to me!

It’s Zaxby’s the chicken is alway’s very good and spicy fried mushrooms are awesome but sadly at this one they usually burn my mushrooms or fried pickles. They usually forget napkins, ketchup and barbecue sauce so when you come make sure you ask for ketchup, barbecue sauce and napkins and don’t forget to look into your bag.

Who doesn’t like Zaxby’s, seriously? I’m sure some people don’t, but I do. I’ve had a long and happy relationship with the franchise and I don’t intend for it to end any time soon.
This review in particular is about the location on Hugh Howell RD in Tucker. Some locations are newer and cleaner than this one, but the menu is the same at every location so this review could apply to any Zaxby’s. Zaxby’s is a fried chicken, fast food joint founded back in the day in Statesboro, GA. The best part about the restaurant in my opinion is the Zax sauce — which I’ve tried to make myself with little success. I usually order one of three different menu items — the boneless wings, the Nibblerz meal (the chicken strips served on a semi sweet bread) and the Zax Snack (fries, three strips and a drink). And extra sauce, always. There is also a grilled chicken sandwich and a number of salads available to those who opt for a nominally healthier meal.
Now, there is one thing about all Zaxby’s I’ve been to that kicks it out of four star category and that is consistency. Sometimes your chicken is served to you steaming hot and crispy and sometimes you get the ones that have been sitting under the heat lamp for a half hour. That’s just the way it is. You live on the edge. I’ve found that less people tend to order the boneless wings, so you are more likely to be served those fresh out of the fryer, but even then you’re taking a chance. Those delicious cheddar bites, however, are made to order — or so I am told — and taste like it, too. If they could just serve me steaming hot chicken with every order, they’d totally be in the four star category. Nonetheless, I’m not leaving Zaxby’s. We’ve been through too much together. You still have my heart.
Cons: Inconsistent food quality.
Pros: Delicious sauce, great food when served to you fresh and hot.
Verdict: Recommended

I’ve given this place multiple tries (drive thru and order inside) and they are very consistent… consistently horrible service and wait.
I’m a huge fan of Zaxby’s but if you are in the area and wanting some, this place might as well not exist. My wait time has always been over 10 minutes. Drive thru is even longer — 15 – 20 mins. Service is extremely slow and the staff are not the most friendliest bunch of folks. No apologies, rude interactions at times, and simply not a pleasant trip.
Not really sure what else to say about this location aside from the slow/​bad service. I hope management looks at the multiple reviews of the service and makes a change. Otherwise, this location has lost another customer.
Food has been consistent though as other places but who knows what goes on in the kitchen… — i know i have been denied some sauces or wings because they ran out for the day. As I type this, it is actually all coming together… slow service — bad service — bad workflow — poor management. thus they run out of ingredients.
Overall, come at non-​meal times, and when you have time to kill.

I waited in line for 10 minutes when there was only 2 cars in front of me and then I get to the window and they say cash only. SERIOUSLY I’m hungry as hello and have just waited for you to tell me that at the window! Heck no.

So the food was good but that is pretty hard to mess up. I’ve never been to a Zaxby’s and been disappointed by the food. You just can’t go wrong with fast food that is so delicious!
However, the service was not cool at this location. I’m not a Debbie downer when it comes to restaurants. I’ve worked in restaurants before and I know how difficult it can be! But one thing that is inexcusable is an employee who is rude and/​or clearly has no customer service skills.
Our cashier rudely told my boyfriend to scoot over to the next register when a simple, «Excuse me but that register is not open,» would have sufficed.
Then, halfway through my boyfriend’s order I decided to pay for it. The cashier then inserted his unsolicited, chauvinistic opinion by saying to my boyfriend, «Dawg, how you really gonna let a woman pay for you?» He then waited to grab my card, which I held in front of him for almost 20 seconds while he didn’t make eye contact with me. Instead, he waited for my boyfriend to pay instead of me.
My boyfriend went to get a table and when he walked away the cashier proceeded to obviously check me out as I walked away. Very violating!
To top off his rudeness, I went to get our food and the same cashier clicked his teeth and yelled across the line, «And he’s gonna make you get the food too? Dang, that’s messed up!»
What the heck?! My boyfriend is always paying for us and this is what happens when I do something small for him? I was disappointed to say the least…

«What? You’ve never had Zaxby’s before?» Yes, that has happened way too many times to me. Sad part is even hubby has eaten there before with his co-​workers. I’ve never had Zaxby’s…until recently! I am proud to say that I’ve eaten at Zaxby’s before and the food is yummy!!! Since I injured myself and wasn’t able to cook for the family, hubby ran over to Zaxby’s to grab food for the family. He ordered me the chicken fingers meal and a side order of onion rings. The kids got the wings meal, but son got the boneless ones while daughter got the buffalo styled wings. Hubby just got himself a chicken sandwich. What sets Zaxby’s apart is the awesomeness of the Zaxby’s sauce, what is in it? I loooove it! I cannot wait to go back to Zaxby’s. Yummmmmmy.

long lines + decent wings\tenders + lots of kids in their tweens = ho hum…
it serves it’s job as a quick bite when I have no time to cook. service is cordial and quick. fries suck, chicken is always piping hot, sweet tea is too sweet.
