I am kinda surprised by the earlier reviews. I also used a deal for a date night. I went with a friend. We did not have any major issues scheduling. But that might be because we had to plan far in advance due to my friend’s travel schedule. It is way out there in Tucker. But I always research where a place is before I buy a voucher. So no surprise there. You do have to pick up your piece later– so that is two trips out there.
The class project was to make a mug. You don’t get to make whatever you want. That’s OK with me. They give you some time to play around with clay and practice the depth you need to use with the impressions. Even with the practice, I still didn’t use the proper depth, unfortunately. But my piece came out ok. You get to choose from two different glaze colors– I wish there had been more. And the color I chose didn’t turn out exactly as I had expected.
The staff there was really nice. My friend and I both left something there. Me– my folder of vouchers. My friend– her water bottle and a ring. They held on to the lost items for us. Unfortunately, they didn’t come across my friend’s water bottle.

Pottery class was a PAINFUL two hours.
We signed up for the couples pottery night on living social. My wife and I showed up for a romantic date night. We felt like we were forced to relive middle school. The ladies that run that pottery place need to understand that they are selling a fun experience, not yelling at grown-​ups like they’re 10 years old to teach them Pottery.
I could have figured out how to make those mugs on my own, but was forced to sit through hurried, passive-​aggressive and impatient tutorials. No one seemed to have fun and the teacher was antagonizing and snappy.
I am not even going to pick up the fruits of our work when it is done in the kiln. The place is way out in Tucker, hard to find and I just don’t care to go back. I wish we never went.
ALSO! Scheduling a class was like pulling teeth. I spent over a month just trying to sign up for the class!

My wife bought the special for a clay class on living social. We had a good time, and I now feel ready to complete the first grade.
