This is THEBEST place in Tucson for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Though I eat here regularly— it wasn’t until very recently I realized just how important this place is to our culinary scene and community as a whole. I recently had some friends visit from Montana… they were only in Tucson briefly, but I made certain that 5 Points was on our list of musts. It’s a spot that’s way more than just the food(though everything is positively delicious)… it’s about the great staff, the beautiful ambiance with perfect morning light, the curated art and all of the tiny details that go into this amazing restaurant. Eat here!

Parking: street Place: clean, outdoor and indoor. Wooden décor. Very American traditional, hipster place. Service: friendly, fast, hospitable. Food: chia pudding– chia pudding made with coconut milk, served warm. Topped with chopped walnuts and caramelized bananas. The caramelization of the banana adds sweetness and texture. Walnut adds the nutty taste and crunchy texture to foil the soft pudding texture. It is VERY filling. Eggleston– French bread toasted with an over easy egg. Vegan sausage has a lot of flavor. I was overwhelmed with the garlic taste in the sausage. I couldn’t finish it. Other options include bacon. There is also a cheese in the sandwich. Side of butternut squash– roasted butternut squash was delish. There was garlic and some spices we couldn’t point out but it worked! Highly recommend checking this place out.

This is my second visit here and I love the food and the atmosphere. Today we had a belated birthday celebration for my friend Anne. She had the tri-tip sandwich and I had the prosciutto and Brie sandwich. Both were delicious. We shared the banana bread for dessert and OMG is it delicious. The only suggestion I have is it would be nice to have more attentive service. I felt like we always had to flag our server down. I will be back because the food and atmosphere are wonderful and maybe the service will improve.

Found this little corner restaurant/market while on vacation in Arizona! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Some of my favorite things I tried when I was there included the giant pancake, which was amazing even though no one could finish it. That thing was seriously huge. And the Blanco egg dish, which had ham, potato pancakes and poached eggs! Super yummy. I loved the rose water sparkling lemonade– if you go you absolutely have to get it!

If being surrounded by sanctimonious hipsters prominading their whimsically-named pets and children makes you want to put your head in an oven, don’t go to 5 Points Restaurant. But if you’re tough enough to endure the sight of endless sugar skull and Sonoran desert-themed tattoos, you might be able to endure long enough to get a table and place your order. Brunch is excellent across the board, from the giant, coma-inducing pancake to the huevos rancheros. The ingredients are fresh and the execution shows that someone in the kitchen is usually paying close attention to detail. Lunch deserves the same praise – the Seoul Sister is a sandwich nobody could be ashamed of, aside from the person who named it. Though 5 Points is often busy, their service is a combination of predictable hip aloofness and unexpected efficiency and attentiveness. Their prices are also remarkably fair given how good their food is. The«market» is small, useless, and could easily be done away with, except it probably lends the place a cache for some patrons.

This place is so good I ate here twice during a recent three day trip to Tucson! Breakfast toast: This one sounded real fancy on paper! Toasted heritage red fife grain bread with pesto chevre(goat cheese!) two over easy eggs, house chianti jelly with a side salad that had grapefruit and tomatoes. I ordered with a side of bacon for that extra punch of savory goodness. Blue corn cakes: Okay, these were kinda dry, but still tasty. The compote on top was a little sparse. These were on special the weekend I was there, and I would say they were more of a side or something to share for the table. Huevos Rancheros: It didn’t look like any huevos rancheros I’ve ever had, but I figured that was because we were in AZ. idk. Still, this was an all around tasty and filling breakfast dish! Made with local tortillas, whole pinto beans, house ranchero sauce white cheddar, avo, cilantro pesto and pico de gallo. The ranchero sauce was different, reminded me more of a spicy, kinda chunky, tangy marinara, but still excellent with the above ingredients. The Eggleston: Such a satisfying sandwich. The baguette used was crusty and slightly chewy, but so perfect. This came stuffed with fried eggs that got all yolky when you bit into them, white cheddar, marinated roma tomatoes, fresh basil, and of course, I added bacon. I easily finished the whole thing with a couple of cups of their fantastic drip coffee before hitting the road. All the food tasted so fresh with lots of bright, bold flavors. The coffee was perfect both hot and iced, which is always important. They have a #blacklivesmatter sign in the window, a cute patio, all the staff were lovely and friendly, and they were serving a homeless man a giant pancake one of the times I visited — my kind of place.

First place(only place) I’ve ever had a breakfast salad, and it rocked my world. Something about the squash and egg and sharp cheddar — yummm! I live within walking distance of this treasure, and so I can pop in for a quick coffee or sit with my computer and work. The atmosphere is clean and fresh, with that unique old-Tucson-warehouse thing that some try so hard to capture but miss. Here they get it just right. Try the Giant Pancake — it lives up to its name and is totally addictive. I keep trying to take ½ of it home, but usually end up with a quarter on the plate and wonder if its really worth the packaging(it is). I wish the market concept had taken hold a little more… especially from a neighborhood perspective. The few times I’ve popped in for a fresh ingredient, they’ve either not had it or it took a long time for me to «check out» and pay. Maybe the restaurant is going to carry the day, but I keep hoping for a local, fresh market within a quick walk of this south end of downtown!

Came here with my fiancé for the first time on Valentine’s Day. I usually won’t do a review unless I’ve been there a few times but I felt I had to. He brought me for breakfast which was utterly delightful. I ordered a vanilla latte while he got the regular coffee. Both were flavorful and you could taste the caffeine. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict which was ahhmazing! It came with a salad that was a little bland, I had a really hard time attending to it with all the benedict’s glory. My only complaint was that I had at least 5 of those tiny bones in the salmon, that if you don’t know to look for, you can totally choke on, so that was scary. I know it’s salmon but a little warning would’ve been appreciated. My fiancé got the early bird which is an amazing breakfast deal for $ 5(originally 10) I think you have to get there before 9? Don’t exactly remember. We then ordered the Banana Flanster for dessert which was warm flan topped with caramel, nuts, bananas, and whipped cream! So enjoyable, and my fiancé hates bananas but he gobbled it up. Overall I will definitely be looking forward to coming back. The staff was very friendly, not over bearing or neglectful. Oh and the little market is very fun and has lots of goodies to look at and purchase!

I have mixed feeling about this place. Because most of the time the staffs were friendly, accommodating and I do like their pancakes(my girl friend made the best pancakes by the way). But every once awhile you get one waitstaff looks like doesn’t want to be there and never came back to check on our table, why not take a day off? minus one star.

Love it! Went for breakfast. Had what was recommended on some other reviews. The salmon Benedict. Asked for poached soft. I remember when traveling in Scotland and in Newfoundland where there are many local places to get smoked salmon, they always recommended warming or cooking it first to get all the full flavor out. Well it tasted as if they did that here! Made such a difference. Have had salmon benedicts at other places and it was just the smoked«lox» out of the package… did not taste like this was the case. Yay! Coffee was good. A nice unique flavor. Many coffee and drink choices. Nice menu featuring breakfast, lunch etc. I was worried about parking… do not worry. Wi-fi available.

It’s funny. I have gone from being the guy who gets the most insane, over-the-top thing any menu has to offer, to the no-carb dude scouring the menu and building dishes from sides to match my diet. That said, I’m impressed with what this menu offered me, and how it was executed. While the mains at breakfast time don’t offer much for someone like me, they look delicious. A sandwich, a burrito, huevos rancheros(saw them going out, they looked amazing!) and more. But the sides list reads like a dream. Eggs, bacon, avocado… and it’s incredible how often restaurants can screw up sides. My standard order nowadays is 3 or 4 eggs, bacon, and maybe some veggies… and if I think they can handle it, some cheese cooked in with the eggs. These folks executed my eggs, cheese, bacon and avocados perfectly, without a moment of hesitation when ordering my weird amalgamation. The food? Tasty! The space itself is nice and bright and open, with that bustling feel. Service is on point. The toddy is tasty(rocket fuel!) and everything comes together quite nicely for a solid dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I have never tried something here hat I didn’t fully enjoy. I typically get the huevos rancheros and it has so much flavor and is consistently delicious. This time I got the caprese sandwich and the vegan Korean(splitting wih my friend) the pesto on the caprese was a nice addition and the kimchi on the vegan made that sandwich perfect. I also recommend trying the vegan chipotle sausage-the texture of it is really similar to beef sausage and has a great chipotle flavor. The service isn’t always great here but this time they were on top of things.

Update: I had made a previous review but it was for a different breakfast place that I had recently been to. 5 points does not serve alcohol from my recent visit but they are working on getting their liquor license. I didn’t mean to mock or mislead! My bad. But here comes the honest review for the right place. So! 5 points café! Such an interesting place. Parking is mostly awkward because there are homeless people that linger in the park but not always. Depending on the day, trying to find a space isn’t very difficult. The waitresses rotate so you don’t always have the same waitress. I love their thick wooden tables. They have local artists’ paintings and drawings posted for décor. My first two experiences here weren’t the best but I really wanted to give them a third chance and I’m glad I did. The first time I ordered the huevos rancheros plate. It was pretty good but it looked overwhelming from all the sauce/salsa. I wish the presentation on this dish was a little more put together. They mixed up my coffee with someone else’s but I kept it anyways and they were nice enough to bring me the right one without charging extra. I tried to order ham with the huevos rancheros but they ran out. I just had it without extra meat. But it was delicious. Second time was the worst time. They took forever to get to our order, we were watching other people who sat after we did getting their food and drinks. I ordered the eggelton sandwich with avocado. The waitress told me they were out of avocado so I said that was fine. But the person I’m with orders something that comes with avocado, and when they bring out our plates, there’s several sliced avocados in his plate. So I ask the other waitress, «can I please have a side of avocados?» She said they were out! Then I was like, «so how did he get some?» And she seemed shocked so she went to check the kitchen and came back and let me know they just got some in. I was so angry but I didn’t make it obvious. I don’t like making scenes but I said to myself, «they really need to get it together here.» Third time! I’m surprised I came a third time! I think every restaurant deserves a third time after I came here a third time. I brought my best friend, we ordered everything we wanted with extra everything. They had everything in stock. We had an awesome time. If you ever have a bad time here, give it another shot. This place gets really busy from popularity. Sometimes I would say they’re understaffed, or are lacking certain resources on certain days, but you can’t tell what is going on behind the scenes. I appreciate their brunch and coffee, service, and ambiance. All they need now is alcohol!

I went here for brunch this morning and I’ve been many times before! Probably my favorite spot for breakfast. I usually get the smoked salmon Benedict or the huevos rancheros. Both delicious! I also have had the chai tea latte before too and the best part is they can make it with almond milk. Has a good bit of spice to it too. Service there can be hit or miss. They are typically very busy so if you are going for brunch on the weekend I would suggest getting there before 10 otherwise expect a wait!

5 Points Market & Restaurant is an adorable café in Tuscon somewhat near the interchange of the 10 and 19. We stopped by for a quick brunch while in town for 6 hours to attend an event. Because of the crowds on Saturday(the place was PACKED around 11AM — inside, on the patio and at the bar), we ordered our food to-go. I would have loved to sit in the bright open dining area, but I couldn’t stick around and wait. The staff here is great — our food was hot and ready when we arrived as promised. They were all very friendly and helpful. We each had the Breakfast Salad($ 10). It was three slices of unseasoned roasted butternut squash with a bit of squash purée, a few rajas of roasted poblanos, a cup of arugula in a balsamic vinaigrette, and two over medium eggs with melted sharp white cheddar on top. The whole salad was sprinkled with roasted pepitas. First of all, the pepitas were tough and added nothing to the salad. They would have been better raw. The roasted squash could have used some seasoning — maybe a little pesto. The arugula was tough and bitter — baby arugula would have made a much better salad — and there could have been more of it. It was okay but it wasn’t great. That is, I ate it, but I definitely am not craving more. I would try it out again, but I would definitely order something else from the menu.

Everything on the menu sounds and looks delicious. I got the Kimchi sandwich and a rosewater lemonade, it was so good i melted in my mouth. All of the flavors in the sandwich complimented eachother. It had a spicy, sweet sauce paired with pickled kimchi, super delish. I cant wait to return for Brunch!

I used to be a big bruncher when I lived in LA but was disappointed by all the brunch options here that seemed to serve the same, basic, no pizzazz menu. I had almost lost hope that there were good unique brunch places in Tucson until I finally checked 5 points Market off my ‘To Eat list’! The breakfast menu is on the shorter side, but every dish is packed to the punch and we had difficulty deciding what to order. We opted for the Huevos Rancheros, which was the best version I’ve had in a long time, beautifully plated with a perfect combination of flavors and textures. I love the unique ingredients that really make their dishes stand out from other brunch spots in this town. My Breakfast Toast was simple by name, but utterly impressive flavor blast with the ‘chevre pesto’ and house ‘chianti jelly’.(where can I buy this pesto???). They also have a nice tea selection with fresh squeezed juices as well a scrumptious pastry display that resulted in my bringing home and gorging out on a ginormous oatmeal whoopie cookie for days to come. Highly recommend coming for breakfast(7am to 3pm), but do expect a wait on the weekends during prime time.

Unilocal has spoken, 5 Points Market is worth all the rave. Per their name– it serves as both a small market and a café/restaurant. Thy serve breakfast almost all day, which I think it the best highlight of all! Fresh ingredients, creative recipes, use of locally sources ingredients make for delicious dining experience. Coffee from Café Aqui is an excerpt choice. We gobbled up an order of salmon eggs Benedict and the huevos rancheros. I’d definitely order the salmon beni again– although I think they could serve a little more salmon on the dish. We enjoyed the Meal. The Rose-lemonade was missing the rose flavor– it packed a citrusy punch! Service is a bit chaotic and quite slow– even to be greeted. Perhaps they’re understaffed? Overall the 5 points is my favorite breakfast choice in my neighborhood.

I came for breakfast this morning(5÷9÷15) as I have heard great things about this place. 5 Points is not far from my house downtown so this is a great addition to the area. Parking was not too difficult as I was there before 9:30 am. Upon arrival I found plenty of seating available at the bar area. My only complaint was that it took 2 – 3 minutes for one of the ladies behind the counter to acknowledge me. I observed a couple of blonde women working in the barista area, they both made eye contact with me, then continued to ignore me. After a few moments, one of the two greeted me and asked me what I would like to drink. I was then presented with a menu(which they took from the other guest next to me and it had stains on it) and ended up ordering the egg sandwich with bacon and a vanilla latte. The latte was great and so was the sandwich. $ 9 for a breakfast sandwich of that quality is well worth it. I ended up having to take half of it home. There looked to be some fresh baked goods as well on the counter(though I would think someone would want to at least cover these instead of just awkwardly sitting out next to bar guests eating). I will definitely come back and I hope that the service improves. Perhaps it was because I’m a younger guy that was dressed in sports attire instead of hipster clothing. The food was great and the place looked clean inside.

Reading through these reviews, I found I have a complaint in common with a couple folks. Let me explain. First off, I love the location and like the overall feel of the restaurant. The patio seating is large and very attractive also. OK. I had a bit of a problem with our server also. It felt like it was annoying her that we were there. She never came back to check with us. I ordered their huge pancake. I mean this thing’s diameter went from the tips of my fingers to half-way up my arm. It had a nice taste to it with a special cinnamon sprinkled on it. Here’s the rub: This huge pancake, costing $ 7, came with a very small serving of syrup. Yes, I ran out of syrup quickly and asked for more. I was told it would cost me $ 1. I said, «OK.» I found that a little annoying and cheap. A serving that big should have come with an appropriately matched serving of syrup for that $ 7. I don’t think that’s asking too much. Yes, I will return because I think the food is good and I love supporting our local eateries. I just wish they would review their price list and maybe hire a couple of servers who understand what it means to be warm and welcoming to customers.
