$99 Pool Pumps & Pool Motors – Repair & Replace

Do not get scammed! I bought a used pump for $ 323 (incl. Tax) from Chris, who claimed to represent this company. He charged an additional $ 125 to install, but when he showed up said he needed $ 90 for parts. I gave him $ 40 to go to the store, but he never returned. I called the company, but could not get through. Chris finally called, promised to show, then said he had a flat tire. The next day he again promised to come but later said he had to go to emergency. This guy is a scam artist and looks it. But I trusted him because he gave me a sob story about a rough past and a future as a minister to disadvantaged youth. Run from him! He gets a negative zero rating from me.

dont use this company… they stole my money. i paid for a pump and other items. called company, gave me around. this is company is horriable. if you want to feel abused and raped, use them at your own risk. i wish i could post this all over the internet, i didnt see these reveiws before i used them.

I am hoping to take this review off of the Internet soon. I’ve paid for two motors over 10 days ago and as far as I know, neither of them has shipped yet. When I called to check on them 4 days ago, Chris told me that they had just been returned to his location from the USPS for some reason he did not understand. When I spoke with him he said that he was going to overnight the motors to me. That was 4 days ago and still no motors. Worse yet, I’ve called 5 times over those 4 days and no one has returned my calls. They are avoiding me. I would never treat a customer or anyone else for that matter like this. If the motors show up soon, I will remove this review. If you’re reading this review, things have gone horribly wrong.

The motors never showed up and Chris has still not taken or returned my calls so we canceled the order.
Update 2:
Over a month has passed and we just received a fraudulent charge on our credit card from $ 99 Pool Pumps for over twice what the original order was for. The motors were never sent and yet they are charging us for a service we never received. I’ve tried calling Chris over half a dozen times and he still refuses to take or return my calls.
Chris … if you’re reading this please call me and make this right. You have my phone number. What are you doing?

i would NEVER do business again with this company again. Many phone calls made many promises made and total disappointment. We received a motor for our pool that was broken then they promised they will exchange it, that took 3 days before they even showed up oh did I mention they came at 5.45 pm when it was already dark so my husband stood there for 2 hours with them holding a flash light so they can put it the right motor and just like the previous customer they also broke a piece when they put the motor in. We were told they will come out on Sunday and will fix it since they broke it and yes you guessed we are still waiting. I would like to get it fixed but that will not happend because I haven’t heard anything yet.

Buyer Beware! We purchased a refurb motor for $ 99, just as promised on ⁷⁄₂₅. The pool tech Chris missed his appointed time by 3 hours. He didn’t call us, we called him. Two weeks after the pump was installed, it quit working. We made several attemps to call them, but they are very hard to reach. Lots of no call backs and full voicemails. 3 different numbers to call, too. Someone was suppose to come out last Saturday the 15^th, but they were a no show. They said they would call us Sunday 1^st thing (about 8 am) to reschedule, but nobody ever did. We finally heard from them at the end of the day on Sunday, and they said they thought we didn’t want to be bothered on Sunday. I called them on Tuesday and they said they would be out Wednesday Aug 19^th at 4pm. Well, its now 5:30 Wednesday and they have not showed up, nor have the called.

Took our pool pump to «fix» it & then texted us that they broke a another part getting to the motor. OK, things happen. Assured us we’d have our pump a few days later. It’s been WEEKS. When they finally dropped off a pump, after we threatened to call the police, they dumped it in our yard without even knocking. Plus, it was missing an essential piece. Called, texted again. «We’ll have it to you tomorrow.» Tomorrow came & went. Most unprofessional company I’ve had the displeasure of working with. The only plus is they never received a dime of our money. Take your business elsewhere.
*addendum: after gathering all the missing pieces to the motor they dumped, that was incomplete, the motor is a broken, piece of junk. Horrible business practices.
