I have been getting my hair cut by Kim for the last few years now and I can guarantee that you won’t find a better stylist and person anywhere else. I highly recommend both her and her salon for any and all of your, your family, and your friend’s hair needs.

I love coming in here! It’s a very cute and friendly salon. Everyone is just wonderful! When you call to make an appointment the receptionist is sweet and makes you feel like very welcomed. When you walk in she greets you with a warm smile and will go out of her way to make you comfortable. I get my facials done with Jackie and she is just amazing! I highly recommend going to get any of your waxing or facial services done with her! I’ve gone to Pennie and Mark to get my hair done and they both do great work! I’ve seen other stylists work on their clients an they leave looking beautiful! I would recommend this salon to everyone! You won’t regret coming here!

Abstrax is great. Kim is so good, and my hair always looks great after my haircut. The complex they are in is very convenient and nice, with a couple of restaurants to grab a bite and a drink after my haircut. I love the place.

I am a color at home type of gal. As a Christmas gift, hubby paid for me to have my hair done by Teffiny. She did an amazing job on the color. No more home coloring for me. I am a believer! Thank you Teffiny for all your care and work. See you next time.

I love Abstrax! I see Teffiny for my hair and she is amazing but so are Kim and Pat! Jackie gives the best facials… I have been seeing her for over 10 years. Everyone is so nice, I highly recommend!

It’s always hard to try a new salon; you never know what you’re gonna get! I decided to try Abstrax for a badly needed haircut. I got an appointment the same day with Pat. When I arrived (about 5 minutes early), the salon receptionist notified Pat I was there. Pat came around the corner, looked at me and shook her head and said «I don’t know her». The receptionist told her I’m new, then Pat told me it would be a little while since I’m early. No problem.
When I finally was in the chair, draped with a cape, and pulled my hair down, I told Pat what I wanted. First she did a dry cut, then a shampoo, and cleaned things up. While I can say she did a good job on the cut, she was not in the least a warm, friendly person. I felt like I was really inconveniencing her by being there.
I didn’t get offered a receipt for my purchase, which is fine by me, but not sure if that’s normal. I’m still loving my haircut, but probably won’t be back (unless it’s an emergency).

The complex Abstracts is in has recently been purchased and is getting a face lift. They also have a farmers market going on outside the shop on the weekend. However of the 6 or so times I’ve been i’ve not been seen on time. There is a person at the desk, but I don’t think it’s a paid receptionist; usually they are just answering phones and collect payments. They don’t greet customers promptly when entering in (at least not consistently). I’m guessing if you are headed to the shop it’s through word of mouth on a stylist because I have no idea how a walk in new client would get service. Sadly the last time I went in, I sat waiting, first appointment of the day, and when my girl strolled in 6 – 7 minutes late coffee in hand. I was thinking to myself… I’m going to share this on Unilocal.Take it how you will, they are busy because they must be that good right?

I’ve been coming to Della at Abstrax for two years and couldn’t ask for a better stylist. I grew up going to the barber and as a result always felt a little uncomfortable going to a ‘salon’. I scheduled my first appointment at the insistence of my girlfriend (also one of her clients), and she made me very comfortable. She’s cut my hair when it was much longer (below my ears) to where is it now (Don Draper short) and everywhere in between and always done a great job.

Well. it is of no surprise that there aren’t any reviews up about this salon. No one of any sense would ever go here. I had a cut with DEIDRE. I just want to make sure everyone knows her name. She JACKED UP my hair. I wish I could show photo’s of how bad it was. My dog could have done a better job. There is no way this girl should be able to cut hair. She said she gave me a cut fur curly hair. Even a cut for curly hair should be uniform, even on both sides and have the option of being blown out straight and look good. This cut was how a barbie doll looks when their 6 year old gives it a haircut. I had holes in places where hair should have been. The layers were chopped high on one side and long on the other. It looked like she took a razor too it and not in a «cool stylist» kind of way. It was SO bad that a man stopped me after leaving the salon and said ‘I thought everyone from LA had cool hair. guess your going for the natural look.”
I contacted her and asked for my money back. She was cooperative and did promptly. I called the salon to speak to the owner. They should know this is the kind of work one of their stylist does. The owner wanted to assume no responsibility. I wanted them to pay for my hair extensions because I could not go out in public. Deidre had the nerve to call me and leave me a snotty message saying I should not call her salon. She said that I was being unprofessional?
Deidre and the Abstrax earned the label F#$()* Morons. Horrible business people and not a professional or quality place of business.
DON’T EVER GO HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT.
