Mrs. Harris and all off the teachers here are awesome with my 4 year old son. He’s having fun, learning a lot about respect, discipline, and really just following directions and being part of a class environment. Very happy with our experience here.

My boys and I started taking Karate lessons about 4 months ago and we are hooked. The personal time that the instructor take with each student really sets them apart from the rest. My boys love the Harris family and can’t wait to train with them every day. I highly recommend this studio any anyone at any skill level. I am constantly feeling challenged while in a friendly and safe environment.

**UPDATE** This location has transferred to new owner and is now«AZ Karate & Kombat Academy» instead of «AKKA Karate USA» The original AKKA Owner now has a location in Corona de Tucson — 51 E Tallahassee Dr(520) 820‑0155. I discovered AKKA one day when my 15 year old son decided he wanted to learn karate. We spent a Saturday driving all around the east side of Tucson looking for a school. Most were either closed or not very helpful. AKKA just happened to be the last school we stopped at. Mrs. Thibault, the owner, greeted us and spent time talking with us. We walked out that day excited to start. Now, a little over a year later, AKKA has become our home away from home. The family package is an amazing deal that many families take advantage of. The instructors are all top notch and keep learning fun. Everyone is treated with respect. They offer classes in Kenpo for all ages, Grappling, Kick Boxing, and Combative Tactics. There are other AKKA schools across Tucson in the same system and they all get together for seminars and tournaments on a pretty regular basis. It’s like an extended family! If you’re looking for a family oriented karate school where learning is fun, I highly recommend checking out AKKA!

My son and i have been taking karate lessons here for about a year. When he was younger he took karate here as well. The program and instructors are awesome, they are professional, respectful and very knowledgable … did I mention patient?!! I need alot of patience in this area! There is a feeling of honor, courtesy, respect and discipline in the school. We always leave feeling like we learned something new, not just a new karate technique, but something that can be applied to life in general. Good stuff!
