This Albertsons doesn’t have the best selection and is a little jammed inside. Customer service is not bad but nothing that stands out as above normal. The added bonus, like other Albertsons, is the Osco inside. Again, what is available isn’t as much as the others. This location is also on a very busy intersection that requires a lot of patience to get in and out. Prices can be a hit or miss. I prefer to do my grocery shopping elsewhere, but do occasionally shop here if I am in the area.

I come to Albertson’s because it carries my favorite drink, a Silk Soy Protein Juice. They have all three brands including the tasty mango and the strawberry/banana. I’ll pick up a few items here, like some of the organic bananas, and sometimes wine. There is a clerk there who seems to remember me and talks about my purchases each time and asks about the items so she can try them; I think that’s pretty cool! I like there is a Target nearby so I can get other shopping done, and it’s easy to park and get out of the place and back on my way home. There’s also a dinosaur at the McDonalds nearby. I never tire of seeing that dinosaur.

I must have been in this Albertsons at least two hundred times. Why am I JUST writing a review? Maybe my inner Unilocaler is truly awakening and I feel the need to write about all my everyday places. Maybe I am just bored. I don’t really know. Anyway, this is my usual on-the-way-home stop for anything I may be missing or may have forgotten on my weekend grocery run which, I admit, I make elsewhere. This store has been undergoing some identity changes recently. They used to have the self-checkout lanes but they got rid of them. Boy do I miss those. They are also in the process of remodeling and moving stuff around. Boy do I hate that… just when I had everything all figured out. The staff here are generally friendly and helpful. Because it’s my neighborhood store I am sure to be back again and again.

I’m always disappointed with this store but It’s just so convenient for me to shop here but I won’t any more after today. I bought expensive steaks from the butcher dept, out of the case, and they sucked. Again. Expensive, hand selected steaks were very tough. They carry NO organic produce, not even basics, such as apples. There is a small selection of aged cheeses but you have to sort through them to find one with an expiration date that’s acceptable. The checkout staff is polite and friendly but still, this grocer should be avoided. Safeway is close by and not bad but hit up Costco for your meats, the slightly higher cost is well worth it. Edited to add: I found myself here again today, what a mistake. I did my shopping and then the checkout refused to accept my manufacturer coupon. It was a Catalina coupon printed at Safeway, and said manufacturer coupon on it. The manager Jennifer, also refused and lied about not being reimbursed for Catalina coupons printed at another grocery store. When pressed she relented and just said it was just their policy not to take them. I did not buy the groceries I had chosen. So she drove me away from Albertson’s yet again and back to Safeway.

I think the people who work here are great. Friendly and helpful. Store is always clean and not too busy. It has become my regular for weekly shops.

I absolutely love this Albertsons. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and has a friendly staff that is always on the floor, not just at the registers. The prices are pretty reasonable and one of the least expensive around. Plus they have a good selection on different foods — if you can’t find it at Safeway or Fry’s you can usually find it here. Albertsons is my favorite chain grocery store and this location is by far the best in Tucson!
