We had an AC give out at the beginning of summer. We called American Conditioned Air and they got someone out to our house that day. Up till that point we were happy with the service. We were told that the evaporative coils leaked so they said they would need to refill refrigerant and replace the coils. No leak check was done unless we wanted to pay for one. We asked for price and was quoted $ 60 for first pound and $ 30 for each additional pound. I confirmed approximate price was going to be about $ 185. Here is where it gets fishy. I was told that he did not have he paperwork so needed to step away for 30 min to get paperwork. He drives off and comes back and tells us we needed to sign the paperwork so he can proceed with work. There were not any prices on this sheet at the time just work needed. He went up to the roof, refilled the refrigerant and said we were all done. At which point I asked for a receipt or a bill so I could pay. He said he couldn’t give me one and the office would bill me once I replaced the coils(which I asked him to hold off on until we were sure this is what Lennox wanted us to do as it was still under warranty). He said that the office would take care of billing. Not having a receipt was a little unsettling but what can you do? A few days later I get a bill for $ 330.65 with a «discount.» There was white out on the paperwork of the carbon copy and they filled in the price? Picture coming. I call them back and ask to discuss billing. They said prices for refrigerant fluctuates daily based on how busy things were and they would need to talk to their field representative. No call back so I call back 7 times more and each time they say it is a busy time of year(fair enough but this was over the course of several weeks — called on June 8th initially and did not get a answer till June 26th). On one of these calls they said they came out to replace my filters and do maintenance and I had to explain to them that they must have mixed up the paperwork. I am calling about replacing refrigerant. So finally, they tell me that first pound was $ 149 and $ 33 for each additional pound and that is final as they have a chart that tells them what to charge. Then they say they let go of the technician because he was making a lot of mistakes and this is the correct pricing.(?) I do appreciate that they came out and provided a service. However, honesty and fair representation is important. I have worked with good plumbers, electricians, roofers and other contractors over the years and this is not comparable. I do not mind paying a little more for good quality service. Lowest price point is not what I looking for. If they had told me the first day a higher price I would have asked why(considering R-410A is $ 100 for 25lbs typically) and paid for the service if they had a reasonable explanation. Quoting one price and charging another is not ok.

My AC unit went out and I was unsure who to call. I called SEVERALAC companies and was surprised to find out that just because I live in Oro Valley, I was going to be charged extra(3 hour minimum fee plus a diagnostic fee!!!). Most of the companies were not available for a couple of days and some would not come out because it happened to be raining in certain areas of town. I then called AMERICANCONDITIONEDAIR and the pleasant receptionist told me about the low diagnostic fee they have and informed me that a service technician(JIM) was in my area. The service technician arrived within minutes carrying his tools and a rain jacket! Jim fixed the AC unit and checked the entire heating and cooling system in the house. He DIDNOT try to sell me unnecessary parts, even though my AC unit is 10 years old. The total fee was a HONEST, REASONABLEPRICE and Jim was very knowledgeable and professional. Thank You!!!

Great company. Saved the day for me today when Advantage Air almost ruined my large heat pump. That was followed by Triumph Air giving me a diagnosis that was almost completely wrong and would have caused more damage. I only used those people because my home was covered by the horrible insurance company, American Home Shield.

I see very few business like this one in Tucson these days. During the summer months my ac broke over the weekend. I called Monday morning and by Monday afternoon my ac was back to functioning property. The most important thing about this company is you can trust them. They don’t jack up the prices for service or items you don’t need. I’ve dealt with Jim for my 2 properties and he’s been reliable, professional, honest. The pricing for service is reasonable and done in a timely matter on the agreed upon time. My girlfriend manages an apartment complex and has used this company since 04 with no problems. I highly recommend them.

I have used this company for 20 years. I have purchased 2 heat pumps from them. their prompt service and competitive prices are unparalleled! They will come almost immediately if you have any problems. of which I have had very few.
